✨ Guest Speaker Session – Department of Islamic Studies, Bahria University Karachi Campus ✨

The Department of Islamic Studies at Bahria University successfully organized an intellectually enriching and thought-provoking Guest Speaker Session for MPhil 2nd Semester and PhD 2nd Semester scholars on the topics Applied Study of Ahakam al-Hadith and Study of Hadith and Its Sciences.

The session was delivered by distinguished scholar Dr. Faraz Ul Haq under the academic supervision of Dr. Muzaffar Ali, with Dr. Moosa Lakhani participating as International SDGs Values Observer according to Hadith Studies.

The discussion highlighted the academic dimensions, methodological foundations, and contemporary relevance of Hadith studies in modern research discourse. Dr. Faraz Ul Haq shared profound insights into the applied understanding of Ahakam al-Hadith and emphasized the significance of critical and analytical engagement with the classical heritage of Uloom al-Hadith.

The session provided a valuable platform for research scholars to strengthen their academic vision, deepen their understanding of Hadith sciences, and connect traditional Islamic scholarship with contemporary intellectual challenges. We are pleased to announce the successful MS Islamic Studies thesis defense of Abid Waseem at the Department of Islamic Studies, Bahria University Karachi Campus.
Abid Waseem presented an insightful analytical study titled:
"The Role of Islamic Banking and Takaful: An Analytical Study in the Context of Social-Based Conventional Financial System"
(اسلامی بینکاری اور تکافل کا کردار: سماجی بنیاد پر روایتی مالیاتی نظام کے تناظر میں تجزیاتی مطالعہ)
The research delves into the comparative dynamics of Islamic finance and Takaful (Islamic insurance) against the backdrop of conventional social-based financial systems, highlighting the ethical and socio-economic contributions of Shariah-compliant models.
The session was conducted under the guidance and evaluation of a distinguished panel of scholars:
