حضرت عبداللہ بن عمر ؓ سے روایت ہے کہ رسول اللہ ﷺ نے (ایک دن اپنے خطاب میں) ایک عظیم فتنہ کا ذکر فرمایا، اور عثمانؓ کی طرف اشارہ کرتے ہوئے فرایا کہ یہ بندہ اس فتنہ میں مظلومیت کے ساتھ شہید ہو گا۔ (جامع ترمذی)

زاہدِ مسجدِ احمدی پر دُرود
دولتِ جیشِ عُسرت پہ لاکھوں سلام

دُرِّ منثور قرآں کی سلک بہی
زوجِ دو نور عفّت پہ لاکھوں سلام

یعنی عثمان صاحب قمیصِ ہدیٰ
حُلّہ پوشِ شہادت پہ لاکھوں سلام

١٨ ذی الحجة یوم شھادت سیدنا عثمان غنیؓ۔ 🥹
