Climate Awareness Session – Meerani Phattak, Hyderabad

A well-structured Climate Awareness Session was successfully conducted at Meerani Phattak near Hyderabad, with the objective of enhancing community understanding of climate change and its localized impacts.

The session was organized by the National Institute of Corporate Education (NICE) and The Core Innovators - TCI, with facilitation support from Community Initiatives For Development In Pakistan (CIDP), in coordination with local community stakeholders.

The initiative focused on raising awareness of climate-related risks, promoting practical mitigation and adaptation measures, and encouraging community-led climate resilience strategies. Through interactive discussions and participatory dialogue, community members shared lived experiences, identified local climate vulnerabilities, and explored sustainable practices relevant to their socio-economic context.

The session contributed significantly to strengthening grassroots awareness, empowering communities to adopt informed and proactive responses to climate challenges, and fostering inclusive, community-driven approaches toward environmental sustainability and climate action.

ڊسٽرڪٽ سانگهڙ ۾ هڪ منظم ۽ ڪامياب ماحولي آگاهي سيشن منعقد ڪيو ويو، جنهن جو مقصد ڪميونٽي ۾ ماحولياتي تبديلي ۽ ان جي اثرن جي باري ۾ شعور وڌائڻ هو. سيشن دي ڪور انوويٽرز (TCI) ۽ نيشنل انسٽيٽيوٽ آف ڪارپوريٽ ايجوڪيشن (NICE) پاران گڏجي سنڌ گرين فائونڊيشن (SGF) سان هم آهنگيءَ ۾ ترتيب ڏنو ويو.

Training of Trainers (ToT) on Climate Change – Jati, District Sujawal

National Institute of Corporate Education - NICE, in collaboration with the The Core Innovators (TCI) and the Mehran Rural Support Program (MRSP), successfully conducted a Training of Trainers (ToT) activity on Climate Change at the MRSP Head Office, Jati, District Sujawal.

The ToT aimed to strengthen the technical knowledge and facilitation skills of participants on climate change concepts, local impacts, risk mitigation, and community-based adaptation strategies. Through interactive sessions, group discussions, and practical exercises, participants enhanced their capacity to transfer climate knowledge effectively at the grassroots level.

This initiative reflects a shared commitment to building local capacities, promoting climate awareness, and empowering communities to adopt resilient and sustainable approaches in response to climate challenges.

A highly participatory approach was adopted throughout the session, incorporating group-based activities, participant presentations, structured dialogue, and open debates on climate change and climate awareness. Participants actively engaged in discussions on climate risks, mitigation strategies, and community-based adaptation practices, sharing local experiences and collectively identifying feasible solutions aligned with their local context.

Through interactive learning methods, the session strengthened critical thinking, community ownership, and informed dialogue on climate resilience. The initiative played a key role in enhancing grassroots awareness and encouraged communities, particularly youth to adopt a proactive, informed, and resilient approach toward environmental sustainability.
