A productive meeting was held at the SITE Association of Industry Office between representatives of the Benazir Bhutto Shaheed Human Resource Research & Development Board (BBSHRRDB) and members of the SITE Association of Industry. The delegation was welcomed by Mr. Majyd Aziz, President of the Employers Federation of Pakistan (EFP) and Founding Member of the Benazir Bhutto Shaheed Youth Development Program (BBSYDP), along with Mr. Ahmed Zulfiqar, Acting President, Mr. Kamran, Former President, and Executive Committee members. The Worthy Secretary of BBSHRRDB highlighted the Board’s initiatives and achievements in human resource development, vocational training, and skills enhancement. Regional Consultants Eng. Taimur Ali and Mr. Muhammad Suleman Dashti also attended the meeting. Discussions focused on aligning training programs with industry skill requirements, enhancing employment opportunities for trainees, strengthening industry institution collaboration, and improving job placement outcomes. A Significant meeting was held with prominent industrialist, President of the Employers Federation of Pakistan, (EFP) and founding member of Benazir Bhutto Shaheed Youth Development Program (BBSYDP), Majyd Aziz, at the office of the Worthy Secretary, Benazir Bhutto Shaheed Human Resource Research & Development Board (BBSHRRDB).
The meeting was attended by Regional Consultants Eng. Taimur Ali, and Mr. Muhammad Suleman Dashti along with other officers.
The discussion focused on industrial requirements related to training and workforce development for the upcoming phase of PSTW.
Mr. Aziz shared valuable recommendations regarding emerging fields such as Green Skills, Cloud Computing, and Artificial Intelligence, while emphasizing the importance of focusing on rural areas and demand driven technical trades including Solar Technology, Electrical, Plumbing, Carpentry, and Mechanics. He also stressed the inclusion of soft skills and persons with disabilities in mainstream training programs and suggested collaboration with the Pakistan Business Disability Network (PBDN).
