رسول کریم ﷺ نے ارشاد فرمایا:
الدُّنْيَا مَلْعُونَةٌ، مَلْعُونٌ مَا فِيهَا، إِلَّا ذِكْرَ اللَّهِ، وَمَا وَالَاهُ، أَوْ عَالِمًا، أَوْ مُتَعَلِّمًا
(سنن ابن ماجہ، رقم الحدیث: 4112)
دنیا ملعون ہے اور جو کچھ اس میں ہے وہ بھی ملعون ہے، سوائے اللہ تعالیٰ کی یاد کے، اور اس شخص کے جس کو اللہ تعالیٰ پسند کرتا ہے، یا عالم کے یا متعلم کے۔
This world is cursed and what is in it is cursed, except the remembrance of Allah (dhikr) and what is conducive to that, or one who has knowledge or who acquires knowledge.
