To me, life has been like a story of an elevating bird starting flight from ground, leaving behind thousands of obstacles and still desperate to fly even higher and uncover many more horizons. I did my matriculation from Bahria Foundation College Hyderabad and secured 86.5% and intermediate from Superior College of Science and grabbed 2nd position in pre-engineering group with 86.5%.
With the altruistic support of my family and my teachers and with the blessings of GOD, I got selected in GIKI (Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences & Technology) and got my first choice there. Couple of weeks later, I got another good news having been selected for admission at NUST (National University of Sciences & Technology) where again I managed to get my first choice. Later, I got a selection letter from PIEAS (Pakistan Institute of Engineering and Applied Sciences) as well. I opted for NUST, studied there for 1 semester but later withdrew due to some unavoidable circumstances. I topped in my district (Shikarpur) and was overall in top 10 in the list of selected candidates from all over Pakistan in MUET’s entry test. I joined department of Electrical Engineering at Mehran UET as my first choice.
I have secured 1st position in all 7 terms with 98% in 4th term being the highest percentage of marks that I have achieved so far in my bachelors. I am currently in the race of faculty top as well.
I have participated in and have won many competitions right from school level including inter school declamation contests, intercollegiate debate competitions, quiz competitions, poster competitions and sports. Recently, I also won 1st prize at ‘INNOVATIVE PAKISTAN – Business Plan Competition 2014’. I have also been honored with various awards including cash prizes and shields of appreciation at various platforms, ‘Shaheed Benazir Talent Award’, ‘Pir Ilahi Bux Foundation Talent Award’, ‘Best Student Award’, ‘Award of appreciation by District Hyderabad Hindu Panchayat’ to name a few. Recently I have found in myself a growing interest towards social welfare activities as well.
MUNs (Model United Nations) are something that I have recently been addicted to. To me, MUNS are love! I served as Secretary General at first MUN in the history of Hyderabad i-e Hyderabad Model United Nations 2014 (HYDMUN ’14). Later, I participated in a few reputed MUNs (ZABMUN VII and IUMUN ’14) and grabbed awards In each of them. I also served as Brand Ambassador for ZABMUN VII. Recently, I served as Vice President at the first MUN in the history of Jamshoro i-e MUET Model United Nations 2015 which was quite a success. I also served as committee director (chair) for UNHRC at MUETMUN ’15. Apart from that I have got special interest in poetry composition.
Something that I personally believe in and would like to advise you all is to remain down to earth no matter whatever heights you achieve in your life because success may open new doors, but only your attitude and character can keep them open.
