The Department of Physics, Air University proudly congratulates 𝗦𝗮𝗹𝗺𝗮𝗻 𝗔𝗵𝗺𝗮𝗱 𝗕𝗵𝘂𝘁𝘁𝗮, a distinguished alumnus whose remarkable achievement has earned him a place in the 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗴𝗶𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝟯𝟬 𝗨𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝟯𝟬 𝗟𝗶𝘀𝘁 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲.

Salman is currently pursuing a fully funded Master’s degree in 𝗡𝘂𝗰𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝘂𝗯𝗻𝘂𝗰𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗣𝗵𝘆𝘀𝗶𝗰𝘀 at 𝗔𝗹𝗺𝗮 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗼𝗿𝘂𝗺 – 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗕𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝗻𝗮, where he proudly represents Pakistan in global scientific and academic spaces. His contributions to astronomy and particle physics outreach, including initiatives related to 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗦𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸 and 𝗖𝗘𝗥𝗡 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗹𝗲 𝗣𝗵𝘆𝘀𝗶𝗰𝘀 𝗢𝘂𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵, highlight his commitment to promoting physics and scientific learning among students and the wider community.

His success reflects the 𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 nurtured at the Department of Physics, Air University, enabling our graduates to contribute meaningfully to the global scientific community.

Dr. Maimoona earned her 𝗣𝗵𝗗 𝗶𝗻 𝗣𝗵𝘆𝘀𝗶𝗰𝘀 from 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁à 𝗱𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗮 𝗖𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗮, 𝗜𝘁𝗮𝗹𝘆, with a 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗲𝘃𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝕰𝖝𝖈𝖊𝖑𝖑𝖊𝖓𝖙𝖊 𝖑𝖆𝖚𝖉𝖊 (highest distinction / with excellence). Her research focuses on the 𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗹𝘆 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗲 𝗮𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝗶𝗴 𝗕𝗮𝗻𝗴, exploring 𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗿𝗼-𝘄𝗲𝗮𝗸 𝗽𝗵𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀, 𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘃𝗶𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝘄𝗮𝘃𝗲𝘀, and dark matter, addressing some of the most fundamental questions in modern physics.

Her success reflects the quality training, mentorship, and vision nurtured at the Department of Physics, AU, enabling graduates to excel on the global scientific stage.

The Department of Physics, Air University, proudly celebrates the remarkable achievement of 𝗗𝗿. 𝗠. 𝗔𝗹𝗶 𝗔𝗯𝗯𝗮𝘀𝗶, who completed his 𝗣𝗵𝗗 𝗶𝗻 𝗣𝗵𝘆𝘀𝗶𝗰𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟮 from our department and has now been selected for the highly prestigious 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗲 𝗦𝗸ł𝗼𝗱𝗼𝘄𝘀𝗸𝗮-𝗖𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗲 𝗙𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽, one of Europe’s most competitive and esteemed research fellowships.

He has already completed his 3 year fellowship from 𝗜𝗧𝗠𝗢 𝗦𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘁 𝗣𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗯𝘂𝗿𝗴, 𝗔 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗶𝗻 𝗥𝘂𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗮.

Dr. Abbasi will carry out his research at CATRIN – Czech Advanced Technology and Research Institute, with international collaboration through The Institute of Physical Chemistry, Polish Academy of Sciences (IPC PAS), Warsaw, and the University of Trieste, Italy. This multi-institutional project reflects the global confidence placed in his scientific expertise and research potential.
