Public Advisory: Caution Against Online Investment & Trading Scams

SECP is urging investors to remain vigilant due to an increase in fraudulent schemes circulating on various social media platforms. Fraudsters are exploiting advanced AI technologies and traditional methods to lure potential investors through platforms like WhatsApp, Facebook, and other social media channels, often asking individuals to fill out forms or participate in trading activities.

These scammers falsely associate themselves with financial sector professionals or claim to represent legitimate companies, deceiving the public into engaging in unauthorized investment schemes. Their communications often appear genuine, as they use official names, logos, and images, impersonating senior executives or legitimate entities to give a false impression of credibility.
