The Intelligent Robotics Lab-IRL, NCAI team had the incredible opportunity to participate in 𝐀𝐞𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐧 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓, an aerial expo held in collaboration with the Royal Aeronautical Society and AIAA - The American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics. This event brought together leading innovators in the field of drone technology, and we were thrilled to present our cutting-edge research in drone-based solutions for agriculture.

At the 𝐃𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐨 hosted by NUST, we showcased our state-of-the-art capabilities in disease detection and precision agriculture management, utilizing drones like the Joyance JTC 30, PANTON 4, and DJI Mavic 3. These drones help geo-tag and precisely localize areas affected by crop diseases, paving the way for smarter, more efficient agricultural practices.

We had the privilege of flying these drones in front of a captivated audience, and we were honored to receive a 𝐒𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐒𝐡𝐢𝐞𝐥𝐝 and 𝐂𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 for our contribution to the expo.

The delegation, including Dr. Ishtiaq Ahmad, MD, PhD, Dr. Yoshihisa Shirayama, Prof. Motoyuki Yuasa and Ms. Hira Taimur was warmly welcomed by Dr. Khawaja Fahad Iqbal and Dr. Yasar Ayaz.

During the visit, both teams engaged in brainstorming and discussion sessions on our collaborative projects in AI and Health-Tech as A Service (HaaS). As part of an international consortium working on global health challenges, we are jointly advancing innovative healthcare solutions, including:

1) Cognitive Frailty Assessment through Virtual Reality, Eye-Tracking, and Facial Expression Recognition, integrated within Frail HaaS, containing 9 domains to reduce assessment time and enable early detection of dementia and cognitive frailty.
2) Metabolic HaaS contains 8 domains to enable advanced health assessments, including the detection of metabolic diseases through AI-driven analysis of physiological and behavioral data.

At Intelligent Robotics Lab (IRL), NCAI, our researchers also showcased other innovative projects through live demos, which were highly appreciated by our Japanese counterparts.

The Scientific Director, Khawaja Fahad Iqbal , warmly welcomed the enthusiastic students of Kohat University of Science and Technology | KUST, accompanied by bright young minds from the 𝐊𝐔𝐒𝐓 𝐈𝐧𝐜𝐮𝐛𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐊𝐨𝐡𝐚𝐭 Summer Bootcamp, at NUST, Islamabad. The delegation also included Dr. Asad Habib (Director ICT), Dr. Qaisar Bilal (HoD Islamic Studies), Muhammad Altaf (Director ICT), and others.

The visit began with a warm welcome at the National Center of Artificial Intelligence - NCAI, Pakistan, where Qurat Ul Ain, Iqbal Sanjrani and Muhammad Salman Khan guided the students through a showcase of groundbreaking projects, highlighting the real-world impact of AI across different sectors.

The journey continued to the Intelligent Robotics Lab-IRL, NCAI, where Khawaja Fahad Iqbal delivered an engaging presentation followed by an interactive Q&A session. Students explored fascinating live demonstrations, experiencing drones, Franka Emika robots, TurtleBots and other cutting-edge technologies up close.

The Intelligent Field Robotics Lab-IFRL, NCAI at the National Center of Artificial Intelligence - NCAI, Pakistan, was pleased to host a delegation from the National University of Technology - Pakistan for a collaborative meeting aimed at strengthening institutional ties.

The visit included:

* A tour of the NCAI Experience Center to showcase innovation and ongoing work
* A meeting focused on designing a mutually beneficial framework for future collaboration
* Open dialogue to identify areas of synergy between both institutions

Both teams expressed enthusiasm for working together to explore joint opportunities in research, technology, and innovation. The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to fostering impactful collaboration in the near future.

We were honored to host the 𝐃𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐈𝐓 and 𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐮𝐭𝐲 𝐃𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐈𝐓 from the Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) at the Intelligent Field Robotics Lab-IFRL, NCAI - National University of Sciences and Technology - NUST, Islamabad, for an insightful discussion on potential collaboration in leveraging 𝐀𝐈 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐚-𝐝𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐧 solutions for public welfare.

During their visit to our 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫 and Intelligent Field Robotics Lab-IFRL, NCAI, the IRL team presented key projects and capabilities of the National Center of Artificial Intelligence - NCAI, Pakistan. The BISP team shared their extensive work on poverty profiling, dynamic data registries, GPS-enabled surveys, and their vision for improving digital payment systems and anomaly detection mechanisms.

This meeting marks the beginning of a promising partnership aimed at using cutting-edge technology for inclusive development. We look forward to jointly developing proposals and exploring impactful solutions together.

NUST had the honour of hosting 𝐇.𝐄. 𝐌𝐫. 𝐉𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝐙𝐚𝐢𝐝𝐨𝐧𝐠, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Pakistan, at its main campus. The visit, hosted by the 𝐑𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫 National Center of Artificial Intelligence - NCAI, Pakistan, focused on strengthening Pakistan-China collaboration in research, innovation, and advanced technologies.

During the tour of the National Center of Artificial Intelligence - NCAI, Pakistan, the Ambassador was briefed on major R&D initiatives and visited the NCAI Experience Centre, where ongoing projects, including Agri-Tech Solutions, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and Large Language Models (LLMs) by the Intelligent Field Robotics Lab-IFRL, NCAI, were showcased.

These projects reflect Pakistan’s growing potential in AI research and its alignment with global trends in sustainable technology, intelligent automation, and next-generation language systems. The visit reaffirmed the shared commitment to fostering innovation, advancing scientific research, and deepening the strategic partnership between the two nations.
