A valuable learning opportunity was provided to Software Engineering and Artificial Intelligence students of the Faculty of Computing – Female Campus (FC) through an educational visit to NIC Islamabad on 16th September 2026.
The visit offered students firsthand exposure to the startup and innovation ecosystem, along with an informative session by Mr. Jawad Ahmad, Community Associate at NIC Islamabad. The session highlighted new initiatives, emerging career opportunities, and the importance of connecting academic learning with industry practices.
Such activities provide students with opportunities to gain practical exposure, explore career pathways, and understand academia–industry collaboration beyond the classroom.
Special appreciation to the NIC Islamabad management and coordination team for their support and for making this valuable learning experience possible.

An insightful industrial visit was organized for FC Female-BS Cybersecurity 5th Semester students at Nayatel, where students explored real-world security operations and industry practices. The visit featured an engaging and comprehensive session led by Mr. Adil, Assistant Manager - Cybersecurity, who shared valuable expertise on core cybersecurity principles, industry standards, career paths, and technical deep-dives into the field.

We sincerely appreciate the cooperation of Nayatel management especially Mr. Fahad Zafar, Mr. Adil, and the entire coordination team for their warm hospitality, time, and efforts in providing our students with such an impactful learning experience.

An insightful industrial visit was organized for female students of CS 7th, CS 8th, and SE 7th Semester students at NICAT, where students explored the incubation center, startup ecosystem, and innovative projects. The visit also featured an engaging discussion with Mr. Abdullah Nasir, Founder of iSeeWaves, who shared valuable insights on entrepreneurship, innovation, and building technology-driven startups.
We sincerely appreciate the NICAT management and the entire coordination team for their support, hospitality, and excellent arrangements in making this visit a meaningful learning experience.

📢 Faculty Development Workshop on Artificial Intelligence (AI)
The Faculty of Computing, Riphah International University, Islamabad I-14 Campus, successfully organized a two-day Faculty Development Workshop on Artificial Intelligence (AI) on 27–28 July 2026.
The workshop featured insightful sessions by our distinguished keynote speakers:

📢 Faculty Development Session – "From Lab to Market"

The Faculty of Computing, Riphah International University, I-14 Campus, Islamabad, successfully organized a Faculty Development Session "From Lab to Market" on 23 July 2026, delivered by Mr. Muhammad Saud Khan, Director Digital Learning, Faculty of Computing (FC).

The session highlighted the importance of developing an entrepreneurial mindset, identifying market needs, designing for the right customer persona, understanding the customer journey, building market-ready products, exploring Pakistan's startup ecosystem, and planning customer acquisition for sustainable growth.

One of the key takeaways was understanding the Decision-Making Unit (DMU), including the roles of the Champion, End User, Primary Economic Buyer, Influencers, and Veto Power in the buying process.

It was an informative and inspiring session attended by all faculty members, reinforcing the importance of bridging the gap between innovation, academia, and industry.

RAS Model Training (What, Why & How) Workshop | Faculty of Computing, Riphah International University, Islamabad (I-14 Campus)

On 8th July 2026, the Faculty of Computing, Riphah International University, Islamabad (I-14 Campus) successfully organized the RAS Model Training (What, Why & How) workshop, bringing together all faculty members for an engaging and insightful session on the Riphah Aspired Students (RAS) framework and its significance in shaping future graduates.

The workshop featured informative sessions by Mr. Raja Umair and Dr. Waqas from the Tarbiyah Department, along with Dr. Abdul Mateen from the Faculty of Computing, who shared valuable insights into the vision, purpose, and practical implementation of the RAS model in higher education.

The session focused on the four core RAS outcomes that define the qualities of a Riphah graduate:

✅ Confident Person
✅ Responsible Citizen

📚 Faculty Development Session on Complex Computing Problems (CCPs)

The Faculty of Computing, Riphah International University, I-14 Campus successfully organized a Complex Computing Problems (CCPs) Write-up Session on 7th July 2026, bringing together faculty members from the Faculty of Computing to collaboratively develop and standardize Complex Computing Problems (CCPs), strengthen outcome-based education practices, and enhance the overall quality of computing education through collaborative academic engagement.

The session focused on developing and standardizing Complex Computing Problems (CCPs) for the BS (Computer Science) program and the core courses of the five specializations offered at the undergraduate level. Faculty members worked collectively to ensure alignment with HEC Outcome-Based Education (OBE) guidelines, Course Learning Outcomes (CLOs), Program Learning Outcomes (PLOs), and graduate attributes while incorporating real-world and industry-relevant computing challenges into course design.

Key outcomes of the session included:
✅ Development and refinement of CCPs for the BS (Computer Science) program and undergraduate specialization courses.
✅ Standardization of CCP documentation across core courses.
✅ Alignment of CCPs with HEC OBE requirements, CLOs, PLOs, and graduate attributes.
✅ Integration of authentic, industry-relevant, and real-world computing problems into the curriculum.
✅ Enhanced collaboration among faculty members to ensure consistency, quality, and continuous curriculum improvement.
