The Chairman of the Senate of Pakistan, Syed Yousuf Raza Gillani , met with a delegation of the SACH Institute, led by President SACH Institute Peer Syed Mudassir Shah , at Parliament House, Islamabad.
During the meeting, the SACH Institute delegation briefed the Chairman Senate of Pakistan on the Institute's national and international initiatives aimed at promoting Sufism, arts, culture, heritage, dialogue, environmental responsibility, and faith-based engagement for peacebuilding.
Chairman Senate Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani commended the efforts of the SACH Institute and reaffirmed the vital role of Sufism, arts, literature, and culture in fostering a peaceful, inclusive, and progressive society. He emphasized that Pakistan's rich Sufi heritage continues to inspire the values of peace, tolerance, harmony, mutual respect, and national unity.
He further highlighted the importance of preserving Pakistan's cultural heritage and encouraging greater participation of young people in literary, artistic, and cultural initiatives to strengthen social cohesion and project a positive image of Pakistan internationally.
