Our beloved teacher Prof Dr Najma Ayub left us today for her heavenly abode. She was a Professor of Microbiology and also served as Lady Provost. She was a wonderful and lively person and a source of warmth and motherly affection. May Allah raise her ranks in Jannah.

We congratulate "Dr.Ihsan Ali" for the completion of his Ph.D degree under the supervision of Dr. Javid Iqbal Dasti from the department of Microbiology at Quaid-i-Azam University. His words after successful viva defense says it all. :)

"Alhamdulelllah. Finally the long awaited journey came to an end, successfully defended my research work. I can’t thank enough, my supervisor # Dr. Javid Iqbal Dasti for his tremendous support and scholastic guidance without which i would have been unable to complete my degree. I also feel heart felt gratitude towards my adviser Professor Betsy Foxman at University of Michigan in USA and her lab team for letting me carry out a part of my Ph.D work over there. I am very thankful to my family members, dear teachers and my friends who always helped and encouraged me to accomplish my goals. Last but not the least; I am very thankful to all the Lab mates and juniors in # Lab of Genomics and epidemiology ."

Louis Pasteur was born on December 27 (Today), 1822 in Dole, France. He was a French biologist, microbiologist and chemist renowned for his discoveries of the principles of vaccination, microbial fermentation, pasteurization and germ theory of diseases.
