ALUMNI PROFILE:
Asma Saeed
Class of 1998
Attended IGS (as it was then known - Islamabad Grammar School) from 1994 - 1998. Completed my O'Levels in 1998 then went on to do my A'Levels and then BBA and MBA from NUST. Worked with the United Nations for over 6.5 years - first with UN HIC, then UN RCO, then UNIDO and finally UN Women. Currently doing my second Masters from Georgetown University in Wa
shington DC in Public Policy on a Fulbright Scholarship.
IGS was an unforgettable experience for me - I still think of my teachers when I sit in my Georgetown classroom. Our little school has surely come a long way since our tiny campus in F-6/3 and our walks to the park near Kohsar market and our Rs. 10 Hot Spot cones from across the street!
I am glad to say the friendships I formed in school I still maintain. Would like to call Lalahrukh Dhar Mohammad Aly Khan Fahad Abdullah Rubia Riaz to share their profiles too! :D
ALUMNI PROFILE:
ARDINI FITRI PRATIWI
(Attended IGSC in the years 2000-2003)
Where are you now?
“I was a student of IGSC in the year of 2000 to 2003. At that time, I was a student of grades 3, 4 and 5 after which I had to leave Pakistan for Indonesia. The time spent in IGSC was honestly unforgettable. The memories were full of fun and friendly teachers and friends from across the globe. The experience was outstanding.
Now, I am doing my college in IPB (Bogor Agricultural University) in Faculty of Human Ecology at major Science Communication and Community Development. I have not started working yet, but take part in presenting in one of our local TV channels namely Green TV and I am active in some environmental movements/causes.
Thank you IGSC, my life would be nothing today without the experience!”

SUNDAS RAJA
Class of 2010
Where are you now? University of Virginia
Honours & Awards: Notable member of the student council in the years 2006-2008 and is also the founder of the IGSC Yearbook Committee.
"“When I first moved to Pakistan from the U.S. I enrolled in three different schools before joining IGSC. Of them, IGSC proved to be exceptional in many ways; the people were inviting, cross-cultural and the learning environment was pleasing. I completed my O' and A' levels at the college and was taught alongside studying, a way of understanding and appreciating life. Currently, I am a pre-medical student at the University of Virginia, and I have not reached this point based on mere luck, rather, by a combination of hard work, and an excellent history in education!”

Honours & Achievements: Head Girl Of the Student Council, General Secretary of the Student Council, Member of the Girl's Basketball Team, Distinction in O Level Chemistry.
"As I pack up for college and look at all the old stuff' scattered around me, I can't help but wonder as to where the past 10 years have gone!
A decade ago, looking around for schools, my parents had brought me to IGSC. Not too willing to change schools, I remember walking into the new campus in 2002 and exclaiming, 'Mom, look at all those colourful swings.' And after forcing my parents to take me back to the 'school with the awesome playground' I said, 'That's it, I want to go this school'.
And so, the 9-year old me, fascinated by the campus and the fact that girls were given the option to wear trousers (being the tomboy that I am), was enrolled into the third grade. And from that day, IGSC has been nothing but amazing. From being the shy, quiet little 3rd grader who was hardly able to make eye contact with Mrs Kureshi as she spoke to me, to performing (that too dancing) in front of crowds of people in Morocco this year and actually being told 'you're talking way too much', I can't believe how much this school has transformed me! I remember reading testimonials written by old grammarians in our school magazines and thinking, 'Pft, they probably don't remember school and have just been forced to write all of this.' But as I type this, I know how wrong I was. This is actually nothing but real feelings pouring out. The friends, the teachers, the lab assistants, the guards, the 'canteen-waala' - everyone was a family and this 'homely feeling' at school was something that was unique to this place. Even though I've now graduated and am done with A Levels and have about a week to go off to college, I still visit school everyday just to be able to spend some more time with everyone. I can't imagine not having Physics with Mrs. Jaffar and not being told off by Mrs Majid for staying outside for an extra 5 minutes before Math and not sitting underneath the shed in front of the canteen where we have countless memories!
And honestly, saying that 'I'll miss this place' will be an understatement!"

Fakhar Ahmed
Class of 2010
Achievements: Recieved World Class Distinctions in O level Accounting (Edexcel) & A Level Accounting (CIE)
“Before coming to IGSC I was an average student. The institution provided me with quality education, the best faculty, personal attention and a diverse culture that not only shaped my personality but also helped me attain distinctions in my O and A Level's and straight A's in my A Levels. Though I graduated in 2010, the memories of the fantastic campus life at IGSC are still vivid. Currently I am pursuing Chartered Accountancy and receiving training at A.F.Ferguson & Co Chartered Accountants (a member of PwC)."
