Parwaan is working with the Government of Pakistan to influence introduction of
internationally accepted practices of early childhood education and development. Situated in Academy for Education Planning and Management, it has become the
hub of coordination with the Government of Pakistan regarding ECED activities
across all provinces. Parwaan is currently the key channel of communication
between E9 countries working on early years development. Parwaan was also
present at the 4th International Provincial Educational Ministerial Conference and is advocating ECED on all national forums at every opportunity. Focusing on early years, Parwaan is currenlty in coordination with numerous
organizations regarding different aspects of ECED such as curriculum
development, research in education development and child rearing practises,
development of ECD models for application in public and low cost private schools
across Pakistan. In this endeavor, Parwaan is working in consultation with
Pakistan Reading Project, Teacher's Resource Center, The Citizen's Foundation,
AMAN Foundation and Teach for Pakistan. Currently, Parwaan is engaged in a comprehensive situation analysis across KP
and Sindh in collaboration with SDPI. Based on the findings of this situation
analysis, Parwaan will make policy recommendations to government sector plans
and design an intervention for early years in Pakistan that will be implemented in
partnership with the Government of Pakistan.
