Ilm Ideas 2

Ilm Ideas 2 Ilm Ideas 2 is a four-year programme in Pakistan funded by the United Kingdom’s Department for International Development (DFID).

Ilm Ideas 2 aims to engage players from outside the education sector, primarily the private sector, to develop innovative and sutainable approaches to improving the quality of education or increasing access to education in Pakistan. The programme is managed by Cambridge Education, a member of the Mott MacDonald Group. WHAT WE DO
Ilm Ideas 2 aims to engage a wide range of players, primarily from th

e private sector, to develop innovative approaches to improving the supply and demand for quality of education in Pakistan. Ilm Ideas 2 supports education innovations that positively impact the poorest children and young people. The programme has three strands:

(1) Ilm Ideas 2 supports new businesses (start-ups) who want to improve quality or access to education, to develop their ideas into a successful business. The programme does this by working with business incubators in Pakistan who find and support education startups through the early stages of developing their ideas. (2) Ilm Ideas 2 provides grant funding and advice to organisations or businesses that are already working on education challenges, such as access or quality, to scale up to reach more children and improve the educational outcomes of their interventions. (3) Ilm Ideas 2 aims to mobilise support and interest for education innovation in the private and public sector to ensure that support to new innovations continues after the programme closes.
