Dragon Boat Races Carry Cultural Heritage, Cultural Integration Bonds People’s Hearts
UNI International Participates in Dragon Boat Festival Event in Pakistan

On June 14, 2026, a series of activities for the Dragon Boat Festival, one of the supporting events celebrating the 75th anniversary of the establishment of China-Pakistan diplomatic relations, was held along the Kabul River in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province, Pakistan. Co-hosted by the local Culture and Tourism Department and Peshawar China Window, the event invited UNI International to attend and conduct exchanges.

The event was attended by numerous provincial ministers, political representatives. The team of UNI International elaborated on the cultural connotations of the Dragon Boat Festival to Pakistani dignitaries. Dragon boat racing symbolizes solidarity and teamwork, Chinese Zongzi (Rice Dumpling) stands for family reunion and a bumper harvest, and Qingyang sachets, a national intangible cultural heritage, carry people’s prayers for peace and blessings. The vivid explanation was well received and highly recognized by the guests.

Traditional Chinese intangible cultural heritage handicrafts including Qingyang sachets and the Zhenyuan paper-cut Two Dragons Playing with a Pearl were on display. The distinctive oriental folk art attracted many guests to stop and appreciate the works. Martial arts performances by kids from Islamabad Star Village ignited the whole venue. Handmade Zongzi were served for guests to taste. This immersive cultural experience further narrowed the distance between the peoples of China and Pakistan.

Max Ma Founder and CEO of UNI International said that cultural connectivity serves as a solid foundation for China-Pakistan vocational education cooperation. This cultural exhibition has built a bridge of mutual trust between enterprises and government departments, paving the way for the launch of projects including China-Pakistan Industrial Colleges, overseas vocational training workshops and cross-border talent training.

This Dragon Boat Festival exchange activity is a vivid practice of the "small yet beautiful" people-to-people friendship projects developed by UNI International. Moving forward, the team will continue to organize regular cultural exchanges, deepen cooperation in cross-border vocational education, and make sustained efforts to consolidate the all-weather China-Pakistan friendship and jointly build a closer China-Pakistan community with a shared future.

On May 12, 2026, the China-Pakistan New Energy Vehicle High-Skilled Talent Training Center of Excellence was officially inaugurated and put into operation in Islamabad, Pakistan. This marks another landmark "small yet beautiful" cooperation outcome in deepening industry-education integration, school-enterprise collaboration, and people-to-people ties under the framework of the 75th anniversary of the establishment of China-Pakistan diplomatic relations.
Distinguished guests from both sides attended the ceremony, including:
• H.E. Mr. Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan, Chairman of the Prime Minister's Youth Programme (PMYP) of Pakistan
• Mr. Nadeem Mahbub, Federal Secretary of the Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training of Pakistan
• Mr. Muhammad Aamir Jan, Director General of the National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC) of Pakistan
• The Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Pakistan
• Leaders from Hunan Automotive Engineering Vocational University, MG Motors Pakistan, ITMC (China) Co., Ltd., and UNI International, as well as other institutional representatives and China-Pakistan friendship advocates.
Pakistan’s new energy vehicle (NEV) market is currently experiencing explosive growth. With Chinese brands like MG Motors expanding their footprint in the country, NEV ownership and market pe*******on are rising rapidly. This boom has created a critical shortage of skilled technicians in maintenance, diagnostics, and after-sales services, becoming a key bottleneck limiting the healthy development of the industry. The launch of the China-Pakistan NEV High-Skilled Talent Training Center of Excellence directly addresses this market demand, leveraging China’s advanced vocational education resources to build a localized training platform integrating talent development, skills certification, and industrial services.
Jointly supported by Chinese and Pakistani institutions, the center will introduce China’s advanced vocational education standards for NEV maintenance, diagnostics, and related digital skills. This includes professional curricula, localized teacher training programs, teaching equipment, examination and assessment software, and vocational certification systems. It will provide systematic skills training for Pakistani youth while delivering high-caliber technical talents to Chinese automotive enterprises operating under the Belt and Road Initiative in Pakistan. The project not only fills the gap in vocational education for the NEV sector in Pakistan but also serves as a bridge for China-Pakistan people-to-people connectivity, embodying the cooperation philosophy of "small yet beautiful, people-centered and benefit-driven". By creating high-quality employment opportunities for young Pakistanis, the center will drive the transformation, upgrading, and green development of the local automotive industry.
As the core implementing partner, UNI International stated: "Telling China’s stories well, promoting Chinese culture, and leveraging China’s vocational education to serve China’s major-country diplomacy are the shared mission, responsibility, and commitment of our China-Pakistan team. Moving forward, we will continue to advance China-Pakistan vocational education cooperation with the philosophy of 'Serve with Heart, Serve the Future', injecting new vitality into the all-weather strategic cooperative partnership between the two countries."
