The Health Services Academy (HSA), Islamabad, had the distinct honor of welcoming His Excellency Mr. Maciej Pisarski, Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to Pakistan, accompanied by Mr. Pawel Mokrzycki, First Secretary, of poland in pakistan.
The visit commenced with a traditional Polish Bread and Salt Welcome Ceremony, symbolizing friendship, hospitality, and mutual respect. His Excellency inaugurated the "Poland in Pakistan" Exhibition, highlighting Poland's rich cultural heritage, history, and the longstanding diplomatic, cultural, and people-to-people relations between Poland and Pakistan. The exhibition inspired students and faculty to further strengthen academic and cultural engagement between the two countries.
A productive meeting was subsequently held with Prof. Dr. Shahzad Ali Khan, Vice Chancellor, HSA, Mr. Tariq Mehmood, Registrar, and Mr. Riaz Hussain Bhutto, Director – Linkages and Outreach, and faculty members. Both sides discussed opportunities for expanding cooperation in public health education, research, faculty and student exchange programmes, innovation, and institutional partnerships. His Excellency also presented valuable publications, including the book "About POLSKA," further promoting cultural understanding and strengthening the enduring friendship between Poland and Pakistan.
The visit reaffirmed the shared commitment of both countries to enhancing bilateral cooperation through education, research, cultural exchange, and sustainable partnerships in the health sector.

This programme offered by Health Services Academy in collaboration with Shaheen Palliative Care Project of Pakistan, is a 6-month online course, which will help healthcare professionals to take up the challenges of patient-centered, compassionate care for patients with life-limiting illnesses.
This online programme offers12 credit hours, is taught over 26 weeks duration and has 4 palliative care modules.

This 1 year diploma in Family Medicine is a competency-based, hybrid (online & onsite) programme covering primary care fundamentals, managing non-communicable diseases, mental health, women, child and adolescent health, infectious disease and general practice emergencies. Core competencies are delivered through a combination of online and onsite sessions, supported by assessments and workshops led by subject experts.
Assessments (formative & summative ) and feedback are integral throughout the programme, with regular assignments.There are 2 semesters with 1 week of contact sessions / physical classroom sessions per semester at Health Services Academy, Islamabad. In addition there are 12 weeks of clinical rotations.
