๐ŸŒ Paying the price. So, what does a climate-resilient education system actually look like? ๐Ÿ“š
DARE-RC research across Sindh, Punjab, KP, and ICT reveals that climate shocks are doing far more than damaging school infrastructure. They are:
๐Ÿซ Disrupting learning
โš ๏ธ Deepening inequalities
๐Ÿ‘ง Pushing children โ€” especially girls โ€” out of education altogether

๐Ÿ“ข On 13 May, we will share these findings at the Sindh Policy Roundtable hosted at AKU-IED, Karachi.

The discussion will bring together researchers, policymakers, and practitioners to explore pathways for strengthening resilience in education systems.

๐Ÿ—‚๏ธ Sessions include:
๐Ÿ”น Understanding the Landscape for Climate Change: Spatial and Exposure Analysis
๐Ÿ”น Panel Discussion: Access and Continuity of Education in Climate-affected Contexts
๐Ÿ”น Panel Discussion: Strengthening School and System Resilience

๐–๐ž๐›๐ข๐ง๐š๐ซ 7: Advancing Disability-Inclusive Education in Pakistan: Local and International Perspectives

This webinar will present key findings from five DARE-RC studies focused on advancing disability-inclusive education in Pakistan, highlighting how evidence-based and contextually grounded approaches can improve access, participation, and learning outcomes for children with disabilities. Drawing on research conducted across multiple provinces, the session will explore childrenโ€™s experiences in mainstream schools, the role of families and communities, and the potential of assistive technologiesโ€”such as Pakistan Sign Language toolsโ€”to bridge critical learning gaps. It will also examine how resilient and climate-responsive education systems intersect with inclusion, and the importance of strengthening disability-disaggregated data through initiatives such as the integration of the Washington Group Questions into the Annual School Census. Bringing together national research, international perspective, and lived experience, the webinar will highlight practical, scalable policy solutions to support more inclusive and equitable education systems in Pakistan.
