Dr. Aneela Gill and her team, working on NRPU Research Project No. 99441, titled: “Turning Indigenous into Global: A Digital Vitality Initiative for Punjabi” presented their project work at PILAC (Punjab Institute of Language Art & Culture) on 23rd April 2026 in Lahore. The work was highly applauded by the DG PILAC and the audience, which included PILAC officials and invited scholars who hailed the work as a significant milestone in the digitization, preservation and global promotion of the Punjabi language.

organized under the HEC’s NRPU 2025 research project titled:
“Turning Indigenous into Global: A Digital Vitality Initiative for Punjabi Language.”
This seminar aims to highlight the role of technology in preserving, revitalizing, and promoting indigenous languages in the digital era through scholarly discussions and collaborative engagement.
