The Department of Media and Communication Studies held a condolence reference session and dua in memory of the late Prof. M***i Jamiludin Ahmad, former Head of the Department.
The session was a heartfelt tribute, where faculty members shared their profound experiences, memories, and insights from their time with him. His dedication to education, mentorship, and the growth of the department was remembered with great respect and admiration.
The gathering concluded with a dua for his eternal peace, honoring his lasting contributions and the positive impact he made on colleagues and students alike.

Dr Amna Zulfiqar, Associate Professor Media and Communication Studies Department, presented her research at the Association for Asian Studies Annual Conference 2026 in Vancouver, Canada. Her paper, “Impact of Gender-Based Violence in Tech-Mediated Communication on Freedom of Expression and Digital Rights: South Asian Women Migrants’ Perspective,” highlights critical issues at the intersection of gender, digital rights, and migration.

The Department of Media and Communication Studies proudly shares that Dr. Zarmina Gull, Lecturer M&CS presented her research paper under the theme of Environmental Sustainability Communication at MEDCOM 2026 (11th World Conference on Media and Mass Communication), held in Bali, Indonesia. Her presentation was recognized with the Best Presenter Award.

The Department of Media and Communication Studies, expresses deep sorrow over the passing of Prof. M***i Jamiluddin Ahmad, former Head of the Department who departed this life today. His loss leaves a profound void in the academic community, especially among colleagues, students, and all those who had the privilege of learning from and working with him.
May Allah Almighty grant him eternal peace, elevate his rank in Jannah, and give patience and strength to his family, friends, and loved ones.
