The MoU was signed by the Chairman, FBISE Mr Qaisar Alam and Chief Executive Officer of The Roots International Schools and Colleges Mr Walid Mushtaq.
The Roots International Schools and Colleges is among one of the largest private school networks in Pakistan with branches in all the major cities across the country. It currently has 20 schools in the country with over 10,000 students in 50+ owned and franchised schools.
This MOU serves as a terms of reference for the details about The Roots International Schools and Colleges’ Affiliation with FBISE, key areas of collaboration, mechanics of the joint collaboration and proposed timelines.
The Roots International Schools and Colleges are currently affiliated with multiple local boards, which makes it difficult to provide centralized support for teaching and learning activities. Affiliating its network of secondary and higher secondary schools with FBISE will help to align syllabi and assessment system across Pakistan, enabling the Roots International Schools and Colleges to bring about improvements in teaching and learning. It will also enable the Roots International Schools and Colleges’ students to benefit from the current interventions / innovations of the Federal Board relating to unbundling of Scheme of Studies, freedom of subject choice, use of technology, On-screen Marking of exam papers etc. that FBISE provides to the affiliated institutions across Pakistan and abroad.
