Another intellectually enriching and experimentally oriented STEAM Club Activity was successfully conducted at GBHSS Muhammad Bux Shoro Qasimabad Hyderabad (Boys & Girls) wings with the active participation of students from Classes VII and VIII comprising both Boys and Girls sections on 19.05.2026

The thematic focus of the activity was “Refraction of Light”, an essential phenomenon of Physics that elucidates the deviation of light rays while traversing from one transparent medium into another of differing optical density.

The activity was meticulously designed to amalgamate theoretical cognition with practical experimentation in order to cultivate scientific temperament, analytical aptitude, and observational proficiency among learners.

During the session, students enthusiastically performed diverse hands-on demonstrations employing low-cost and easily accessible materials including glass tumblers, water containers, mirrors, lenses, pencils, and laser beams to practically illustrate the bending of light.

Through these experiential activities, students comprehended fundamental concepts such as optical illusion, change in direction of light, refractive index, and real-life applications of refraction in lenses, spectacles, microscopes, and rainbow formation.

The activity substantially contributed towards promoting inquiry-based learning and fostering an environment conducive to creativity, innovation, and scientific exploration in accordance with contemporary pedagogical approaches under STEAM education.

The young learners exhibited remarkable scientific curiosity and analytical aptitude while performing captivating hands-on demonstrations illustrating the distinction between reversible and irreversible transformations occurring in everyday phenomena.

Through low-cost and easily accessible materials, students practically explored concepts such as melting and freezing, dissolution, rusting, burning, curd formation, and other observable physical and chemical changes.

The activity entitled “Trigonometry Table (Draw by Trick)” was organized with the objective of simplifying mathematical concepts through innovative and activity-based learning methodologies.

The students enthusiastically participated in the practical demonstration and learned an easy graphical technique for constructing and memorizing trigonometric values.

The session significantly enhanced their analytical aptitude, mathematical reasoning, and conceptual understanding.

The activity was conducted under the esteemed leadership of Prof. Dildar Ali Channar, Principal, and the guidance of Madam Raheela, Special coordination and academic facilitation were provided by Ms Hudaibia Memon, Focal Person, along with Ms Sorath Mumtaz, Co-ordinator, while valuable support was rendered by Ms Bakhtawar, Supporting Teacher.
