Commencing from the forthcoming academic year, board examinations in Sindh will be conducted utilizing Optical Mark Recognition (OMR) A marking. It is noteworthy that the implementation of this system has been facilitated through the provision of laboratory tools by the Asian Development Bank to the Government of Sindh.

Approval was given to outsource the examination system of Sindh education boards in a phased manner to get rid of corruption.

Phased outsourcing in Sindh Education Boards will be implemented from the ninth and eleventh exams while the tenth and twelfth exams will be conducted under the old system.

In the meeting of Chairman Education Boards of Sindh under the chairmanship of Minister of Boards and Universities Ismail Rahu, it was decided to hold a tender for the outsourcing of Boards and Universities Department on Tuesday.

The meeting decided that it is up to each board to decide what to outsource first, including outsourced paper setting, examination conduct, e-marking and results.

Approval to give the work of matriculation and intermediate examinations across Sindh including Karachi to a private institution Matriculation and Intermediate examinations will now be conducted by private institutes in Sindh province including Karachi city. Approval was given to outsource the work of examinations and results to the private sector. Sindh Government has approved outsourcing of matriculation, intermediate examinations and results. After which the examinations and results of both the boards will be conducted by the private institution instead of the boards.
