Yesterday, our Grade 5, 6, and 7 students organized a lovely farewell party for the outgoing Grade 8 students. It’s a beautiful tradition of our school to say goodbye with cards, speeches, and farewell songs. 💐

🌟 Independence Day of Gilgit-Baltistan Celebration 🌟

Today, we celebrated the Independence Day of Gilgit-Baltistan with great joy and pride! 🇵🇰✨

The event began with the Tilawat of Kalam-e-Pak, followed by beautiful speeches, skits, and songs presented by our talented students. The highlight of the day was the traditional dance performance, showing the rich culture and spirit of our region. 💃🎶

Everyone enjoyed the program, and it was truly a wonderful and memorable celebration of the Liberation Day of Gilgit-Baltistan. 💚🤍

Parent-Teacher Meeting at Boys Middle School Shimshal – September 4, 2025

We successfully held a Parent-Teacher Meeting (PTM) on September 4, 2025, at Boys Middle School Shimshal. The PTM was organized after the completion of the 1st and 2nd Term Exams for classes ECD to 5, and the Bi-Monthly Tests for classes 6 to 8, as per the schedule provided by the DDE Office Gunza.

During the meeting, we shared the academic progress of students with their parents. Along with academics, we also discussed student attendance, social behavior, and other areas of learning and development.

We are happy to share that nearly 90% of parents attended the meeting and appreciated the hard work and dedication of our teachers. Their positive feedback means a lot and encourages us to keep working for the betterment of our students.

Independence Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Government Boys Middle School Shimshal. Students showcased their love for Pakistan through heartfelt national songs, speeches, tableaus, and skits. The event was filled with pride and joy. In the end, the Headmaster spoke about the importance of independence and honored the Pakistan Army for their sacrifices in protecting the nation.

🌾 Traditional Food Fare at Govt. Boys Middle School Shimshal 🌾

Today our school celebrated a wonderful Traditional Food Fare! Students brought delicious traditional dishes from home and set up stalls class-wise. They beautifully presented their food, shared the recipes, talked about the nutrients in the dishes, and explained the importance of traditional food in our daily lives.

It was a joyful and educational event that helped students improve their presentation skills, learn more about healthy eating, and appreciate the richness of our local culture. Well done to all the students and teachers for making this event a big success! 👏🍽️🌿

Our Alumni Series | Mr. Amjad Karim

Mr. Amjad Karim joined our school in 1984 and completed his Grade 8 in 1996. He went on to pursue higher education from well-known institutions in Karachi and Islamabad.

Amjad is also fluent in German. He completed a diploma in German language from the National University of Modern Languages (NUML), Islamabad, and worked as a German-speaking tour guide across Pakistan with various travel companies.

His professional journey spans over 15 years with AKRSP (Aga Khan Rural Support Programme). He started as an intern and later took on roles such as Market Development Officer, Market Development Coordinator, and Project Manager. He has successfully led various projects and is currently working as a Project Manager for a climate resilience project.

Now based at the AKRSP Head Office in Gilgit, Mr. Amjad Karim is a proud, self-made alumnus of our school. He stands as a shining example for our students and school community.
