Educational Visit by the 7th Semester Urdu Department

On 24th September 2026, the students of 7th Semester, Department of Urdu, paid an educational visit to the Noor Ahmad Nizami Personal Library, a remarkable collection comprising approximately 28,000 books.

The visit was conducted under the guidance of Prof. Javed Sahib and Prof. Rizwan Sahib, along with Mr. Iskhar Khan, Chief Librarian. The students explored the valuable collection and gained insight into the importance of libraries, reading, and preservation of literary resources.

WELCOME & FAREWELL CEREMONY

A graceful and memorable Welcome & Farewell Ceremony was organized at Government Post Graduate College Haripur in honour of our respected faculty members and distinguished colleagues.

The college community warmly welcomed Principal Dr. Prof. Muhammad Shafi Khattak, on his promotion to BS-21 and appointment as Principal of Government Post Graduate College Haripur.

On the occasion, a heartfelt farewell was also arranged for Prof. Naeem Akhtar Abbasi, on his promotion to BS-21 and appointment as Principal of Government Post Graduate College No. 1, Abbottabad. The faculty members expressed their appreciation for his valuable services and extended their best wishes for his new responsibilities.

The college also warmly welcomed the newly joining faculty members, Prof. Jameel Shiraz and Prof. Muhammad Zubair, while a warm farewell was given to Prof. Akhtar Nawaz and prof. Mujtaba on their transfer from the college.

The event was marked by a gracious, warm and beautifully arranged gathering, attended by all faculty members. The occasion provided an opportunity for colleagues to sit together, exchange views and discuss ways to further strengthen the college community, academic environment and overall institutional development.

Such gatherings are a reflection of the spirit of collegiality, mutual respect and teamwork that strengthens an educational institution.

We hope that such opportunities to come together, share experiences and work collectively for the betterment of the institution will continue in the future.

"Soft Skills" Seminar GPGC Haripur

The Character Building Society (CBS), GPGC Haripur, in collaboration with the District Youth Office, Haripur, organized an engaging and interactive seminar on Soft Skills.
Prof. Fouzia Anwar, keynote speaker, captivated the students with an insightful and highly interactive session, emphasizing the role of communication, confidence, teamwork, and interpersonal skills in achieving personal and professional success.

The CBS Focal Person welcomed the guests and participants. Prof. Zulfiqar Ali, on behalf of Principal Prof. Dr. Muhammad Shafi Khattak, appreciated the keynote speaker and all those involved in making the event a success.

The seminar concluded with remarks by Ms. Nazia Shaheen, District Youth Officer, Haripur, who appreciated the initiative and highlighted the importance of equipping young people with essential life skills.

Dengue Awareness Sessions

The Character Building Society (CBS), in collaboration with the Department of Zoology, organized two informative Dengue Awareness Sessions at Government Postgraduate College Haripur as part of the ongoing government campaign against dengue.
The sessions were conducted by Mr. Shehryar and Mr. Saifullah Khan, who sensitized students about dengue, focusing on its symptoms, diagnosis, treatment, and preventive measures. Prof. Wazeer Muhammad, HOD Zoology, also addressed the gathering and emphasized the importance of awareness, vigilance, and timely preventive action.
The CBS Focal Person, on behalf of honorable Principal Prof. Dr. Muhammad Shafee Khattak, expressed his sincere gratitude to Prof. Wazeer Muhammad (HOD Zoology), Prof. Dr. Hussain Badshah, the speakers, and the entire faculty of the Department of Zoology for their valuable contributions, cooperation, and support in making the sessions successful.

Dengue is preventable, but prevention begins with awareness and collective responsibility. Keep your surroundings clean, eliminate stagnant water, protect yourself from mosquito bites, and immediately seek medical advice if symptoms appear. Together, we can stop dengue before it stops us.

1) Awareness session (to be held on September 10, 2026)

2) Workshop ( to be held from September 10-12, 2006)

Most of the students have registered for only awareness session, considering it a registration to workshop. So, let it be known, awareness session is for general audience. You can bring your freinds , family who don't have IT background. But workshop is only meant for IT students.

So, double check and register again if you have wrongly registered to avoid being deprived seat from workshop.
