He is currently working with the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, Khalifa University, United Arab Emirates. Previously, he worked as a Research Professor at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Kyung Hee University, South Korea, where he completed his Postdoctoral Fellowship under the prestigious grant of Brain Korea 21st Century Plus. He worked as a Researcher and a Developer at the Centre for Mobile Cloud Computing Research (C4MCCR), University of Malaya. His numerous research articles are very famous and among the most downloaded in top journals. He has been listed among top researchers by Thomson Reuters (Web of Science) based on the number of citations earned in the last three years in six categories of computer science. His research interests include big data, blockchain, edge computing, mobile cloud computing, the Internet of Things, healthcare, and computer networks.
