We are glad to share that Dr. Muhammad Miandad, Chairperson, Department of Geography, University of Gujrat, presented a research paper at the prestigious International Conference on “Nexus of Climate Change and DRR: Anticipatory Actions”, held from August 1–3, 2025, at Baragali, Abbottabad. The event was organized by the Department of Geography and Geomatics, University of Peshawar.

In addition to Dr. Miandad’s participation, BS and M.Phil students from the Department of Geography, University of Gujrat, also showcased their research work at the conference. Their active involvement reflects a significant academic milestone and a proud achievement for the department. Participation in such an esteemed international forum not only enhances the academic exposure of faculty and students but also contributes immensely to their professional and research development.

We are delighted to announce that Dr. Muhammad Miandad (Associate Professor) has formally assumed the role of Chairperson of the Department of Geography. We extend our sincere congratulations and best wishes to Dr. Miandad as he undertakes this significant leadership position. Recognized for his kind demeanor and unwavering commitment to students, we are confident that he will serve the department with utmost dedication.
