حضرت ابوہریرہ ؓ بیان کرتے ہیں ، ایک دیہاتی نبی صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وآلہ ‌وسلم کی خدمت میں حاضر ہوا تو اس نے عرض کیا ، مجھے کوئی ایسا عمل بتائیں جس کے کرنے سے میں جنت میں داخل ہو جاؤں ۔ آپ نے فرمایا :’’ تم اللہ کی عبادت کرو اور اس کے ساتھ کسی قسم کا شرک نہ کرو ، فرض نماز قائم کرو ۔ فرض زکوۃ ادا کرو اور رمضان کے روزے رکھو ۔‘‘ اس نے کہا اس ذات کی قسم جس کے ہاتھ میں میری جان ہے ! میں اس میں کوئی کمی بیشی نہیں کروں گا ، جب وہ چلا گیا تو نبی صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وآلہ ‌وسلم نے فرمایا :’’ جس شخص کو پسند ہو کہ وہ جنتی شخص کو دیکھے تو وہ اسے دیکھ لے ۔‘‘ متفق علیہ ، رواہ البخاری (۱۳۹۷) و مسلم
