The Higher Education Commission (HEC) is set to launch a fully automated degree attestation system using blockchain technology within six months.
The new system will make verification faster, secure, and fully digital, removing the need for graduates to visit HEC offices or submit physical documents.
Degrees from 25 HEIs with ERP systems will be automatically added to the blockchain upon graduation, while other institutions can submit documents online for verification.
Once on the blockchain, degrees can be instantly authenticated by government departments, embassies, and private organizations, ensuring tamper-proof access and improved transparency across the attestation process.
