IISAT Department of Humanities and Social Sciences

The Department of Humanities & Social Sciences (DHSS) is a versatile and dynamic academic unit at the International Institute of Sciences, Arts and Humanities (IISAT). DHSS believes that “Educating the mind without educating the heart is no education at all - Aristotle”. With soft combination of the mind-set and heart-set, the department executes its academic activities for holistic development of the students as well as the faculty. Think beyond the campus, the academic environment at the department is built in such a way that the teacher and the learner are developed not only for the current Knowledge Worker Age but also for the future Wisdom Age in which the humans (spiritual beings) will be learning and living in the Metaverse (the landscape of the new world of Web 3.0).

The department is developed with the contribution of renowned and experienced faculty comprising of local and foreign PhDs.DHSS is composed of a diverse group of academicians and scholars having a unique blend of teaching capabilities with an active focus on research as well.The team at the department is committed to engage its students and faculty with the world beyond campus. For this, we ensure that our students are much capable for employability, the spirit of which is infused in the curricular and co - curricular activities of all the programs. The academic team at the department is supported in this context to seek the acquisition of knowledge and professional activities with the public and private enterprise. The academic programs cover by the department are related to English, Psychology, Education, Mass Communication, Economics, Urdu and Islamic Studies.
