The Department of Linguistics & Literature, Karakoram International University, Gilgit, is pleased to announce the formation of the new Cabinet of the KIU Language and Literary Society.

This notification has been issued by Dr. Sajid Hussain Turi, Chairman, Department of Linguistics & Literature, KIU Gilgit.

The department places high expectations on the cabinet members to represent the Department of Linguistics & Literature with professionalism and to ensure the smooth and efficient functioning of the society. The cabinet will take the lead in organizing both curricular and co-curricular activities that foster academic excellence, creativity, and student engagement.

All activities will be carried out under the supervision of Mr. Sohbat Ali (Chief Patron) and the Advisory Board.

Sixteen years of Education (BS 4 years/MA in English)
Minimum 2.5 CGPA out of 4 from a recognized University
📝 Entry Test Requirement:
KIU Admission Test (50% passing score)
OR Valid GRE / HAT / G*T General (50% passing score) – Exempted from KIU test

Pay Rs. 1,500/- admission fee at any HBL branch (challan generated online)
Submit online form + printed copy with:
Attested copies of transcripts & degrees (SSC onwards)
CNIC copy & 2 passport size photos
NOC (for Govt./Semi-Govt. employees)
