23rd Annual Athletics Meet 2025
Government College University Faisalabad! 🎉

The event began with a special ceremony where Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Rauf-I-Azam lit the torch, officially opening two exciting days filled with sports, energy, and fun! 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️ Students from different departments proudly marched together to represent their faculties.

In his speech, Prof. Dr. Rauf-I-Azam said that education and sports go hand in hand in helping students grow and build strong personalities. He also encouraged everyone to stay active by using the modern sports facilities at the university.

The Athletics Meet included thrilling races like the 100m, 400m, and 800m, as well as long jump, javelin throw, and discus throw. The crowd cheered loudly as students showed off their athletic skills and teamwork. 🥇

Winners received medals from the Vice Chancellor as a reward for their amazing performances. The event was a great celebration of sports, teamwork, and university spirit, with many students, faculty, and spectators joining in the excitement! 🎉

35ویں ہائیر ایجوکیشن کمیشن آل پاکستان انٹرورسٹی ہینڈ بال چیمپئن شپ 25-2024کا شاندار انعقاد

فیصل آباد: 35ویں ہائیر ایجوکیشن کمیشن آل پاکستان انٹرورسٹی ہینڈ بال چیمپئن شپ 25-2024کا انعقاد ڈائریکٹوریٹ آف سپورٹس، گورنمنٹ کالج یونیورسٹی فیصل آباد کے زیر اہتمام ہواجس میں ملک بھر سے 13 یونیورسٹیز کی ٹیموں نے شرکت کی۔

افتتاحی تقریب کے مہمان خصوصی وائس چانسلر ، گورنمنٹ کالج یونیورسٹی فیصل آباد، پروفیسر ڈاکٹر رؤفِ اعظم تھے، جنہوں نے تقریب سے خطاب کرتے ہوئے کھیلوں کی اہمیت پر روشنی ڈالی اور نوجوانوں کی صلاحیتوں کو اجاگر کرنے کے لیے اس طرح کے مقابلوں کو وقت کی اہم ضرورت قرار دیا۔مزید انہوں نے کھیلوں کے فروغ کے لیے ڈاکٹر سعید جاوید (ڈائریکٹر سپورٹس) اور ڈائریکٹوریٹ آف سپورٹس کی ٹیم کی کوششوں کو سراہا ۔ تقریب میں محمد رفیق واہلہ، حاجی محمد شفیق اور بشارت علی رندھاوا نے خصوصی شرکت کی۔

چیمپئن شپ کا فائنل مرحلہ بھی انتہائی دلچسپ رہا، جہاں یونیورسٹی آف سینٹرل پنجاب نے شاندار کارکردگی کا مظاہرہ کرتے ہوئے چیمپئن شپ جیت لی۔ دوسری پوزیشن سپیریئر یونیورسٹی نے حاصل کی، جبکہ تیسری پوزیشن پنجاب یونیورسٹی لاہور کے نام رہی۔

Government College University Faisalabad (GCUF) proudly hosted the HEC 35th Intervarsity Handball (Men) Championship 2024-25, bringing together talented athletes from across the nation in a celebration of sportsmanship, teamwork, and excellence. The event, held at the GCUF Sports Complex, was a resounding success, filled with thrilling matches and inspiring moments.

The championship’s opening ceremony was graced by the esteemed Prof. Dr. Rauf-i-Azam, Vice Chancellor of GCUF on 18-12-2024, as the Chief Guest. In his address, Dr. Rauf-i-Azam highlighted the importance of sports in shaping the character and resilience of students, emphasizing the role of such events in fostering unity and healthy competition among universities.

GCUF Vs Minhaj University Lhr,
GCUF won by 18- 8 Goals

2nd match was played b/w
Uni of peshawar vs Uni of Lahore which was won by Uni of Lohare

3rd match was played b/w
Uni of Sargodha vs Agriculture uni FSD. which was won by Uni of Sargodha.

4th match was played b/w
The Uni of Faisalabad vs Uni of Management Science and Technology Lhr which was won by TUF.
