وقت ایک قیمتی دولت ہے جو ایک بار گزر جائے تو واپس نہیں آتی۔ کامیاب لوگ ہمیشہ وقت کی قدر کرتے ہیں اور اسے ضائع کرنے کے بجائے اس کا بہترین استعمال کرتے ہیں۔ جو قومیں وقت کی پابند ہوتی ہیں، وہ ترقی کی منازل طے کرتی ہیں، جب کہ وقت کا ضیاع قوموں کو پستی میں دھکیل دیتا ہے۔ اس لیے ہمیں چاہیے کہ وقت کی اہمیت کو سمجھیں اور ہر لمحہ تعمیری سرگرمیوں میں صرف کریں۔

تاریخ کسی بھی قوم کی اجتماعی یادداشت ہوتی ہے، جو ماضی کے تجربات کو محفوظ رکھ کر حال اور مستقبل کے فیصلوں کی راہ متعین کرتی ہے۔ جو قومیں اپنی تاریخ کو فراموش کر دیتی ہیں، وہ نہ صرف اپنی شناخت کھو دیتی ہیں بلکہ ماضی کی غلطیوں کو دہرانے پر بھی مجبور ہو جاتی ہیں۔ برصغیر کی تاریخ گواہ ہے کہ جب بھی مسلمانوں نے اپنی تاریخ اور ثقافت سے روگردانی کی، وہ غلامی، زوال اور انتشار کا شکار ہو گئے۔ لہٰذا ضروری ہے کہ ہم تاریخ کو صرف حفظ کرنے کا مضمون نہ سمجھیں، بلکہ اسے سمجھ کر اپنی قومی پالیسیوں کا حصہ بنائیں۔
