The Department of Psychology, Amin Campus, successfully organized a one-day Mental Health Counseling Camp conducted by Semester 6 students under the supervision of Ms Noreena Younas and Ms Iram Shehzadi. The camp included history taking, psychological assessments, and counseling sessions while ensuring complete confidentiality throughout the process.

The activity was conducted through the dedicated efforts of the students, with counseling support provided by senior faculty members and clinical psychologists. A large number of students and faculty members participated in the mental health screening and received professional counseling guidance and support.

The initiative aimed to promote mental health awareness, emotional well-being, and accessible psychological support within the campus community.

International Symposium on β€œDigital Age Mind: Psychological Issues in the Era of AI Technology”

Highlighting the growing importance of mental health awareness in the age of artificial intelligence, the Department of Psychology organized an international conference titled β€œDigital Age Mind: Psychological Issues in the Era of AI Technology”, in collaboration with the Pakistan Psychological Association. The event was organized under the supervision of Prof Dr Saleem Abbas, Head, Department of Clinical Psychology, TUF, brought together leading psychologists, researchers, and mental health professionals from across Pakistan and abroad to discuss the psychological impact of artificial intelligence and digital technologies on modern society.
The symposium brought together renowned psychologists, academicians, mental health experts, and researchers from across Pakistan and abroad to address the rapidly emerging psychological concerns associated with the excessive and unregulated use of artificial intelligence and digital technologies. The event served as a significant academic platform to explore the influence of AI on human cognition, emotional health, social interaction, behavioral patterns, and mental well-being in contemporary society.

Dr Saleem Abbas, Head of the Department of Psychology at The University of Faisalabad, attended as the Chief Guest and highlighted the importance of inclusive practices in the field of psychology. The Guest Speaker, Ms Asma Liaqat, CEO of The Originators Inclusive Institute and Vice President of the Disability Rights Action Group (DRAG), emphasized the significance of advocacy and support for individuals with autism.
