The Department of Applied Chemistry successfully hosted an International Conference on February 25-26, 2025.
The conference featured presentations by distinguished scientists from numerous countries, including the USA, Lithuania, Norway, Belgium, India, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Egypt, and Nigeria, as well as over 65 prominent national researchers. Students benefited significantly from the engaging scientific presentations and interactive question-and-answer sessions.
Dr. Leiv K. Sydnes, former President of the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry (IUPAC), provided a detailed exposition on current research trends and engaged in a productive question-and-answer session with students. Dr. Thilinakumari, representing the National Research Council of Sri Lanka, presented on international scientific collaboration and opportunities.
This virtual conference, delivered at no cost, proved to be a highly successful and enriching event.

It is matter of great pleasure and honor for the Department of Applied Chemistry, Government
College University Faisalabad Pakistan, that Dr. Shahid Adeel, Associate Professor of Applied
Chemistry/ Manger ORIC ( Innovation and commercialization) has been selected as one of
members of founding Pillar Chairs for of American Association of Textile Chemists and Colorist
(AATCC) Pakistan Section. He is also advisor of AATCC-GCUF Chapter. He has also been
selected as Associate Editor for the AATCC Journal of Research, which has been included in W-
Category by HEC, Pakistan and is indexed in Science Citation Index Expanded list of Carafate. Dr
Shahid Adeel has a good track record of Publication and Research and his name has been included for the third
time in 2% list of Scientists by Government College University Faisalabad in the world. His expertise is infield
of textile dyeing including isolation and application of natural dyes onto fabrics as well as role of radiation in
application of synthetic dyes. He has completed one project as principal investigator, two projects as co-
principle investigator. Having h –index of 32 and citation upto 3000, He is one of key researchers from faculty
of physical sciences and won many research productivity awards which is also a great honor for the
Department of Applied Chemistry. Apart from that He has research group on natural dyes ith Turkey, Iran ,

گورنمنٹ کالج یونیورسٹی فیصل آباد میں 26 نومبر سے دو روزہ اپلائیڈ کیمسٹری انٹرنیشنل کانفرنس (آن لائن) کا آغاز ہو رہا ہے۔

کانفرنس میں پورے پاکستان سے شعبہ اپلائیڈ کیمسٹری سے تعلق رکھنے والے مایہ ناز سائنسدان، پروفیسرز اور ریسرچرز شرکت کر رہے ہیں، اس کے ساتھ برطانیہ، چائنہ، امریکہ، اور بیلجیئم سے مختلف سائنسدان اور پروفیسرز شریک ہو رہے ہیں۔ کانفرنس کا مقصد اپلائیڈ کیمسٹری کے شعبہ میں جدت طرازی، کیمیکل صنعت، طب اور ماحولیات میں درپیش چیلنجز سے نمٹنے اورمستقبل کے حوالے سے مربوط لائحہ عمل مرتب کرنا ہے۔ کانفرنس کے چیف آرگنائزر صدر شعبہ اپلائیڈ کیمسٹری پروفیسر ڈاکٹر محمد جواد سیف اور کانفرنس سیکرٹری ڈاکٹر طاہر فاروق ہیں۔ کانفرنس میں 80 کے قریب محققین اور مقالہ نگار اپنے اپنے مقالہ پیش کر رہے ہیں ۔
