The Department of Management Sciences, in collaboration with the State Bank of Pakistan's Banking Services Corporation (SBP BSC), organized a seminar under the Young Islamic Banking Professionals Program (Y-IBP). The event aimed to foster awareness about Islamic banking among students. Mr. Waqas Kashif Bajwa, Chief Manager at SBP BSC, delivered a comprehensive presentation on the Y-IBP initiative, highlighting its significance and relevance. Subsequently, M***i Muhammad Zahid Sab, Chairman of the Shariah Board at Askari Bank, provided an in-depth analysis of the fundamentals of Islamic banking, followed by a Q&A session.
A quiz competition was conducted by the SBP BSC team to shortlist top scorers for further training at the National Institute of Banking and Finance (NIBAF), internships in Islamic banks, and potential job placement upon successful completion of the training and internships.
The seminar was a resounding success, addressing a pressing need of the current era.

We are excited to share the Department of Management Sciences has been actively working to empower students through participation in the Student Ambassador Program. One-day training for our student ambassadors has been successfully completed organised by SBP BSC Faisalabad, focused on “financial literacy and inclusion”.
This initiative not only enhances our student’s skills but also strengthens our commitment to their professional growth. Attached are some pictures from the training session that capture the enthusiasm and learning experience of our students.

We are thrilled to share that students of Management Sciences Department recently visited Sadaqat Limited, where they gained valuable insights into the inner workings of a production facility. Our students learned firsthand how the company manages its production and operations, from raw material sourcing to finished goods.
The visit provided a unique opportunity for our students to witness the practical applications of the concepts they learn in the university. They saw how theoretical knowledge is put into practice, and how the company's processes and procedures come together to create a seamless production cycle.
During the visit, the company's team walked our students through the entire process, from raw material conversion to finished goods. Our students were able to ask questions, take notes, and engage with the company's experts, gaining a deeper understanding of the industry and its operations.
This industrial visit was an enriching experience for our students, and we are grateful to Sadaqat Limited for hosting us. We look forward to many more such visits, where our students can continue to learn and grow in a practical and immersive environment.

The Department of Management Sciences at NUML Faisalabad Campus organized a seminar on "Personal and Professional Grooming for Career Advancement" on May 24, 2024. The speaker was Mr. Kashif Javaid, a successful alumnus and Head of Performance and Reward at Interloop (Pvt.) Ltd. He provided students with valuable insights into developing soft skills and personality grooming for their professional lives. Mr. Kashif Javaid discussed strategies for overcoming professional challenges and informed students about internship opportunities at Interloop (Pvt.) Ltd. for BBA students. The seminar was highly beneficial, allowing students to resolve many career-related queries through a Q&A session with the speaker.

On May 10, 2024, the Department of Management Sciences organized a seminar on *Contemporary Data Analysis Techniques* for the students and faculty members. Dr. Maqsood Ahmad (Assistant Professor/HOD University of Okara) was invited as guest Speaker. The seminar introduced participants to the software's (SPSS and R-languages) key features for data analysis. Attendees learn how to import, clean, and manipulate data sets efficiently.
The seminar covers basic statistical analyses such as descriptive statistics, t-test, correlation, and regression. Advanced topics include t-test, Chi Square and ANOVA. Participants gain hands-on experience through practical exercises, enabling them to interpret and present results effectively. Additionally, the seminar highlights SPSS and R-language graphical capabilities for visualizing data. Overall, attendees leave with a solid understanding of statistical softwares and its applications in research and data-driven decision-making.

NUML Placement Centre Team is thrilled to announce that NUML Faisalabad successfully hosted an MOU Signing Ceremony with Toyota Motors Faisalabad on April 24th, 2024. This milestone reflects our commitment to fostering collaboration with industry leaders.
We are thankful to worthy regional Director Brig (R) Aftab Rameez for his leadership and dedication in making this event a success. Senior General Manager Mr. Tanveer Mehdi and Deputy Chief from Toyota Motors FSD enriched the ceremony with their insights. In addition to the MOU signing, we had the privilege of organizing a seminar on Leadership. Mr. Tanveer Mehdi, the guest speaker from Toyota Motors, delivered a thought-provoking address on the essence of leadership and how one can become a leader by uplifting others. His insights were inspiring and deeply impactful. We are confident that this partnership will lead to mutually beneficial outcomes and strengthen the bond between our organizations.
