'Hadith of Gabriel A.S',"[Ehsan is] to worship God as though you see Him, and if you cannot see Him, then indeed He sees you." (Al-Bukhari)
"Ehsan" also spelled as 'Ihsan' is an Arabic word which means perfection or excellence. Taking into consideration the Islamic context of the term it clearly reflects the obtaining of inner excellence & perfection during worship. As has been clearly been stated in a Hadith of Gabriel A.S - and been said by our Beloved Prophet (Peace be Upon Him) "Ehsan is to Worship Allah as though you see Him, & if you can't see Him than Indeed He sees you".
