A week ago I was asking about basic questions of Upwork and Now I have created my Upwork profile, completed it 100%, got the rising talent badge within 4-5 days, received 70 extra connects with 20 initial connects. Hence, Sharing the tips worked for me. So lets have a quick overview!
Profile Approval
For Profile approval, use Sir Sohail Tariq method of "Mobile and Software Development". You will get an instant approval.
100% Profile Completion
Do a healthy research and make a check list of all requirements helps you achieve 100% profile completion. Here are few tips worked for me so you can save your time.
To complete your profile 100%, add all the details.
Add portfolio (create documents as mentioned by sir sohail Tariq in Upwork sessions in vbc)
Add employment history. You can add any company you have worked with or any fake one as well)
You can request testimonials from any non Upwork clients (he must have LinkedIn profile) I didn't use it yet
Add other experiences ( you can write your previous job experience)
Add education and skills
Add an introduction video (very important)
Link your account with Upwork. (twitter is good)
You can add extra languages as well.
You will have your profile completed 100% through these methods.
Upwork Readiness Test
You must pass the Upwork Readiness Test for extra perks. To Pass it, You can read on Upwork articles and search google as well. Passing the test will give you 40 extra connects before 31 December.
Rising Talent Badge
Only 5% of new freelancer gets this badge and it helps you to get the job by 50% than other fellows. It will also give you 30 extra connects as well It has simple 2 requirements:-
