Government Graduate College (W)153/RB Sahianwala celebrated Pakistan’s 78th Independence Day with great pride, unity, and joy, under the inspiring leadership of Principal Mrs. Sumaira Yasmin. The event was dedicated to the theme “Marka-Haq”, symbolizing the nation’s hard-earned freedom, the sacrifices of our forefathers, and our collective responsibility to safeguard Pakistan’s sovereignty and values.

The program commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by Naat-e-Rasool (SAW).

Principal Mrs. Sumaira Yasmin delivered an inspirational speech to the students and staff of the college

Students delivered passionate speeches on the importance of independence, national unity, and the theme “Marka-Haq.”

Heart-touching patriotic poems and milli-naghmas stirred the spirit of patriotism among the audience.

A short theatrical skit depicting the sacrifices of freedom fighters was presented by the students, highlighting the struggles that led to Pakistan’s creation.

A multimedia presentation showcased Pakistan’s journey from 1947 to present day, emphasizing national achievements.

Certificates of appreciation were presented to outstanding students in academics, sports, and co-curricular activities.

In her address, Mrs. Sumaira Yasmin emphasized the importance of national unity, discipline, and dedication. She reminded students that “Marka-Haq is not only a remembrance of the past but a call to an action for the future,” urging them to contribute positively to the progress of Pakistan.

The celebration concluded with prayers for the prosperity, unity, and security of Pakistan. The college campus was adorned with green and white decorations, and the atmosphere resonated with patriotic enthusiasm. The event truly reflected the spirit of Marka-Haq, bringing together staff and students in a bond of national pride.
