The Department of Medical Laboratory Sciences proudly organized an educational study tour for the students of 8th Semester to the Veterinary Diagnostic Center.
The Department of Medical Laboratory Sciences sincerely acknowledges the generous support and hospitality of Khawaja Rab Nawaz Ajmal, Khawaja Noman Ajmal, Dr. Kashif Saleemi, and Dr. Maria Jamil at Apex Biological Solutions – Veterinary Diagnostic Center. Their guidance and cooperation made this educational study tour highly informative and valuable for our students.
The visit provided students with valuable practical exposure to advanced diagnostic techniques, laboratory operations, and modern veterinary testing procedures. During the tour, students observed different sections of the diagnostic center and gained insight into the role of laboratory diagnostics in animal health and disease management.
This study tour proved to be an excellent learning opportunity, helping students bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and professional laboratory practices. The department highly appreciates the management and staff of the Veterinary Diagnostic Center Lahore for their cooperation and guidance throughout the visit.

The Department of Medical Laboratory Sciences (MLS), University of Faisalabad, successfully conducted an insightful seminar on the topic:
🔬 “Application of Nanoparticles in Combating Antimicrobial Resistance”
We were honored to host Dr. Nayab Batool as our distinguished guest speaker. Dr. Nayab Batool is currently serving as an Assistant Professor at The University of Agriculture with a Ph.D. specialization in Molecular Microbiology and Nanomedicine. She has also made valuable international contributions as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Sungkyunkwan University, South Korea.
The seminar highlighted the emerging role of nanotechnology in addressing one of the most critical global health challenges—antimicrobial resistance. Students and faculty gained valuable knowledge about innovative research approaches and future prospects in this field.

The Department of Medical Laboratory Sciences conducted an engaging Poster & Model Competition under the theme “Relation of Biosafety with Microbiology, Immunology and Histology Diagnosis”.
Talented students of MLS showcased their scientific knowledge, creativity, and innovative thinking through impressive posters and working models on diverse medical laboratory topics. The event fostered a vibrant learning environment, encouraging participants to think critically, apply concepts practically, and present their ideas with confidence.
The projects were evaluated by Dr Zaima Umar, Faculty Coordinator, Medicine & Allied Health Sciences, whose presence added great value and motivation for the participants.

Model United Nations (MUN) is an academic simulation where students represent countries to debate pressing global issues, sharpen diplomacy, and draft multilateral solutions. Havva MUN 2026, featured a simulated UN Security Council emergency session on the Iran‑Israel war and rising tensions in the Middle East.
Aliha Azam, the delegate representing China, was awarded Outstanding Diolomat (OD, 2nd Position) in the UNSC comittee.
