They’re all hard to enjoy or accomplish without a good healthy body that enables you to do so. 2020 was very challenging, But we hope 2021 will be a lot easier than this year, and this new year will bring hope and happiness for everyone.

(غبار خاطر میں مولانا آزاد کا چائے کے بارے لکھے خط سے ایک اقتباس آپ بھی ملاحظہ کیجیے)

میں چائے کو چائے کے لیے پیتا ہوں، لوگ شکر اور دودھ کے لیے پیتے ہیں- میرے لیے وہ مقاصد میں داخل ہوئی، ان کے لیے وسائل میں- غور فرمائیے، میرا رخ کس طرف ہے اور زمانہ کدھر جا رہا ہے!
چائے چین کی پیداوار ہے اور چینیوں کی تصریح کے مطابق پندرہ سو برس سے استعمال کی جا رہی ہے، لیکن وہاں کبھی کسی کے خواب و خیال میں بھی یہ بات نہیں گزری کہ اس جوہر لطیف کو دودھ کی کثافت سے آلودہ کیا جا سکتا ہے- جن جن ملکوں میں چین سے براہ راست گئی، مثلاً روس، ترکستان، ایران، وہاں بھی کسی کو یہ خیال نہیں گزرا- مگر سترھویں صدی میں جب انگریز اس سے آشنا ہوئے تو نہیں معلوم ان لوگوں کو کیا سوجھی، انھوں نے دودھ ملانے کی بدعت ایجاد کی، اور چونکہ ہندوستان میں چاۂے کا رواج انھیں کے ذریعے ہوا، اس لیے یہ بدعت سئیہ یہاں بھی پھیل گئی- رفتہ رفتہ معاملہ یہاں تک پہنچ گیا کہ لوگ چائے میں دودھ ڈالنے کی جگہ دودھ میں چائے ڈالنے لگے- "بنیاد ظالم درجہاں اندک بود- ہر کہ آمد، برآں مزید کرد!" اب انگریز تو یہ کہہ کر الگ ہو گئے کہ زیادہ دودھ نہیں ڈالنا چاہیے، لیکن ان کے تخم فساد نے جو برگ و بار پھیلا دیے ہیں، انھیں کون چھانٹ سکتا ہے- لوگ چائے کی جگہ ایک طرح کا سیال حلوہ بناتے ہیں، کھانے کی جگہ پیتے ہیں اور خوش ہوتے ہیں کہ ہم نے چائے پی لی- ان نادانوں سے کون کہے کہ:
"ہائے کمبخت! تو نے پی ہی نہیں"
