Grand Finale – IT Gladiator 2.0

1. Event Overview
The Grand Finale of _IT Gladiator 2.0_ was conducted to test students’ technical knowledge, problem-solving speed, and practical skills under competitive conditions.

2. Rounds Conducted
Round 1: Rapid Fire Round
A fast-paced Q&A round covering core IT concepts, programming fundamentals, and current technologies. Teams were evaluated on accuracy and response time.

Round 2: Dry Run Problem Round
A hands-on problem-solving round where teams analyzed and executed dry runs for given algorithms and code snippets. Assessment was based on logic, accuracy, and time efficiency.

3. Performance & Results
All participating teams demonstrated strong preparation and competitive spirit. Based on cumulative scores from both rounds, the top 2 teams qualified for the final round.

- Winner: Team Laiba Nisar & Kinza Kanwal

4. Conclusion
The event successfully achieved its objective of fostering technical competence and teamwork. The high performance across rounds reflects the participants’ strong grasp of IT concepts and readiness for practical challenges.

Battle of IT Gladiators – Round 01 & Round 02:

The BS IT Department of Govt. Graduate College Dina successfully conducted Round 01 and Round 02 of the competition titled “Battle of IT Gladiators” on 06th May 2026. The event was organized for BS IT students to promote programming skills, logical thinking, teamwork, and healthy competition among students in the field of Information Technology.

The competition was conducted under the supervision of Syeda Sania and Tehreem Baig in collaboration with GGC DINA Library

A total of 09 teams participated enthusiastically in the event. In Round 01, participants attempted a quiz consisting of 12 questions related to Information Technology, programming fundamentals, and computing concepts. After evaluation, 05 teams qualified for the next stage of the competition.

The qualified teams were then taken to the computer lab for Round 02, which was a coding quiz round. This round consisted of 02 programming questions based on C++ programming and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts. Students demonstrated their coding, analytical, and problem-solving skills during the practical assessment.

After careful evaluation, 03 teams successfully qualified for the upcoming Finale Round (Round 03), which is scheduled to be conducted on Monday (11-05-2026).

For the smooth ex*****on of the event, the department effectively utilized the multimedia facilities and computer lab for conducting both the quiz and coding rounds.

The event was honored by the presence of the respected Principal and distinguished faculty members as guests, including Nadeem Ahmad, Eman Hassan, and Nabeel Abid, who also served as judges for the competition.

Special appreciation and credit are extended to the volunteer students who worked as event organizers and contributed greatly to the successful management of the competition, including Huzaifa, Ahmad, Sami Ullah, and Haseeb. Their dedication, teamwork, and efforts played an important role in organizing and managing the event efficiently.

The activity proved to be highly engaging and educational for all participants. The department appreciates the efforts of organizers, judges, faculty members, volunteers, and students for making the event successful and looks forward to the exciting Finale Round.

Report on Parent-Teacher Meeting (PTM):
A Parent-Teacher Meeting (PTM) was conducted for the second semester students on 05th May 2026 at Graduate College Dina.

The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the mid examination results of students and review their academic progress from the previous semester.

The meeting was successfully led by Syeda Sania Najam and Tehreem Baig. All teaching staff actively participated in the session.

During the meeting, parents were informed about students’ academic performance, attendance, classroom behavior, and areas needing improvement. Teachers also guided parents on how they can support their children in achieving better academic results.

Moreover, feedback was collected from the parents to ensure their satisfaction and to strengthen communication between the institution and families. Parents appreciated the efforts of the faculty members and expressed their support for continued collaboration in students’ educational development.

The PTM concluded successfully with positive interaction between teachers and parents, reflecting the institution’s commitment to academic excellence and student progress.

Screening Test conducted
Battle of IT Gladiators Quiz Competition

Govt. Graduate College Dina
The screening test of the Battle of IT Gladiators quiz competition was successfully conducted on Monday at Government Graduate College Dina, in the college library. The purpose of this 04-May-2026 screening was to shortlist the most capable teams for participation in the upcoming rounds of the competition.
The event was organized under the supervision of Ma’am Syeda Sania and Ma’am Tehreem Baig, in collaboration with Library (Sir Nabeel Abid). Their guidance ensured smooth planning and ex*****on of the screening process.
All participating students appeared in the form of teams, with each team consisting of two members. A short quiz was designed and conducted as part of the screening test to evaluate the participants’ knowledge, quick thinking, and basic understanding of IT-related concepts.
The screening test was held in a well-organized environment within the library, providing a focused and disciplined setting for all participants.
Based on the performance in the screening quiz, a total of 9 teams were selected and qualified for the next stage of the competition, i.e., Round 1 and Round 2.
The screening process was conducted fairly and transparently, ensuring that only deserving teams progressed further. The event marked a strong start to the Battle of IT Gladiators, building excitement and competitive spirit among the students.

28 اپریل 2026 کو گورنمنٹ گریجویٹ کالج دینہ میں والدین اور اساتذہ کی ایک اہم نشست منعقد ہوئی، جس میں تمام شعبہ جات کے اساتذہ اور طلبہ نے بھرپور شرکت کی۔ اس ملاقات کا بنیادی مقصد والدین کو ان کے بچوں کی تعلیمی کارکردگی اور کلاس روم کی سرگرمیوں سے براہِ راست آگاہ کرنا تھا۔ والدین نے کالج انتظامیہ اور اساتذہ کی مخلصانہ کوششوں کو سراہتے ہوئے انتہائی مثبت فیڈ بیک دیا اور ساتھ ہی ادارے کی مزید بہتری کے لیے کچھ مفید مشورے بھی دیے۔ شرکاء کا کہنا تھا کہ اس قسم کی ملاقاتیں والدین اور اساتذہ کے درمیان فاصلوں کو کم کرتی ہیں، اس لیے انہیں مستقل بنیادوں پر جاری رہنا چاہیے۔ ہم ان تمام والدین کے مشکور ہیں جنہوں نے اپنی شرکت سے اس تقریب کو کامیاب بنایا.
