A delegation from the Allied Health Professional Council (AHPC) visited the Faculty of Allied Health Sciences (FAHS), Agriculture University Dera Ismail Khan, for the accreditation of its academic programs. The Faculty comprises three departments: Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT), Radiology Technology, and Dental Technology.

The AHPC delegation included Prof. Dr. Muhammad Jasim Khan (MLT Expert), Dr. Muhammad Anees (Vice President, AHPC), Mr. Abdus Salam (Focal Person, AHPC Khyber Pakhtunkhwa), Mr. Muhammad Arshad (Radiology Expert), and Mr. Arshad Ahmad (Dental Expert).

The delegation was warmly received by the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Latif Gondal, the Registrar, Mr. Abdul Basit, the Coordinator of the Faculty of Allied Health Sciences, Mr. Muhammad Umar Nafees, along with the faculty members. As a gesture of welcome, the Vice Chancellor presented bouquets to the distinguished members of the delegation.

During the meeting, the Vice Chancellor, Registrar, Coordinator of the Faculty of Allied Health Sciences, and members of the AHPC delegation shared their views and highlighted the importance of accreditation in ensuring quality education and professional standards in allied health sciences. A comprehensive overview of the Faculty, its academic programs, infrastructure, and future development plans was also presented to the delegation.

آج کے جدید دور میں میڈیکل لیبارٹری ٹیکنالوجی تیزی سے ترقی کر رہی ہے۔ آٹومیشن، مالیکیولر ڈائیگناسٹکس، اور جدید اینالائٹیکل ٹیکنالوجیز نے لیبارٹری کے دائرہ کار کو مزید وسیع کر دیا ہے۔ اس بدلتے ہوئے ماحول میں یہ ہم سب کی ذمہ داری ہے کہ ہم مسلسل سیکھنے، تحقیق، اور پیشہ ورانہ مہارتوں کو بہتر بنانے پر توجہ دیں تاکہ ہم عالمی معیار کے مطابق خدمات فراہم کر سکیں۔
اکیڈمک اور ریسرچ کے میدان میں بھی میڈیکل لیبارٹری ٹیکنالوجی کی اہمیت مسلسل بڑھ رہی ہے۔ یونیورسٹیز اور تربیتی اداروں کی ذمہ داری ہے کہ وہ طلبہ کو نہ صرف عملی مہارتیں فراہم کریں بلکہ تحقیق کے اصول، ڈیٹا اینالیسس، اور سائنسی سوچ کو بھی فروغ دیں۔ جدید تحقیق کے ذریعے نئی بیماریوں کی تشخیص، بایومارکرز کی دریافت، اور تشخیصی طریقہ کار میں بہتری ممکن ہو رہی ہے۔ اس لیے ضروری ہے کہ فیکلٹی ممبران اور طلبہ ریسرچ کلچر کو اپنائیں، پبلیکیشنز کی طرف آئیں، اور قومی و بین الاقوامی سطح پر اس شعبے کی نمائندگی کریں۔
میں تمام پروفیشنلز کو یہ یاد دہانی کروانا چاہتا ہوں کہ ہمارا کام نہایت حساس نوعیت کا ہے۔ لہٰذا: ہمیشہ اپنے دائرہ کار (Scope of Practice) کے اندر رہ کر کام کریں،
بین الاقوامی معیار کے مطابق کوالٹی کنٹرول اور کوالٹی ایشورنس کو یقینی بنائیں،
لیبارٹری سیفٹی پروٹوکولز کی مکمل پابندی کریں،
اور پیشہ ورانہ اخلاقیات کو ہر حال میں مقدم رکھیں۔
یہ بھی ضروری ہے کہ ہم اپنی پیشہ ورانہ شناخت کو مضبوط کریں اور اس شعبے کے بارے میں درست آگاہی کو فروغ دیں۔ میڈیکل لیبارٹری پروفیشنلز صحت کے نظام کے پسِ منظر میں کام کرتے ہوئے بھی سب سے اہم کردار ادا کرتے ہیں۔ آپ کی محنت، دیانت داری، اور مہارت ہی وہ بنیاد ہے جس پر درست تشخیص اور مؤثر علاج ممکن ہوتا ہے۔
آخر میں، میں تمام میڈیکل لیبارٹری پروفیشنلز کو خراجِ تحسین پیش کرتا ہوں جو خاموشی سے مگر انتہائی ذمہ داری کے ساتھ انسانی زندگیوں کے تحفظ میں اپنا کردار ادا کر رہے ہیں۔
میڈیکل لیبارٹری صرف ٹیسٹ کی جگہ نہیں، بلکہ درست تشخیص کی بنیاد، علمی تحقیق کا مرکز، اور صحت کے نظام کا قابلِ اعتماد ستون ہے۔

یونیورسٹی آف ایگریکلچر کی فیکلٹی آف الائیڈ ہیلتھ سائنسز میں سمسٹر اسپرنگ 2026 کے مڈ ٹرم امتحانات باقاعدہ طور پر منعقد کیے جا رہے ہیں۔ یہ امتحانات مقررہ شیڈول کے مطابق جاری ہیں، جن میں تمام طلبہ اپنی اپنی کلاسز اور مضامین کے تحت شرکت کر رہے ہیں۔ فیکلٹی کی جانب سے امتحانات کے انعقاد کے لیے تمام ضروری انتظامات مکمل کر لیے گئے ہیں تاکہ امتحانی عمل شفاف اور منظم طریقے سے پایۂ تکمیل تک پہنچ سکے۔

Today, a meeting was convened by Mr. M. Umar Nafees, Coordinator of the Faculty of Allied Health Sciences. The meeting addressed several important agenda items, including discussion on the conduct of Mid-Term Examinations for Spring 2026, as well as deliberations on issues related to the Board of Studies (BOS) of the Departments of Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT), Radiology Technology, and Dental Technology.

The Meeting of the Committee constituted by registrar of the university regarding Highlighted Deficiencies by Allied health Professional Council (AHPC) was held on Dated: 05-03-2026 at 10:00 AM in the Conference Room of the University of Agriculture, Dera Ismail Khan. The meeting was chaired by Dr. M. Shoaib Alam, Convener of the Committee, while the meeting was arranged and coordinated by Mr. M. Umar Nafees the Secretary of the committee and Coordinator, Faculty of Allied Health Sciences (FAHS).
During the meeting, the deficiencies highlighted by the Allied Health Professionals Council (AHPC) were thoroughly discussed. The committee reviewed the relevant matters and deliberated on possible measures to ensure timely compliance with AHPC requirements. The members also discussed steps for preparing a compliance action plan and addressing the identified gaps in accordance with the Terms of Reference (ToRs) mentioned in the office order. At the end of the meeting, the Chair, Dr. M. Shoaib Alam, expressed his sincere thanks to all the honorable members for their valuable participation, while Mr. M. Umar Nafees, Coordinator of Allied Health Sciences, acknowledged the cooperation of the participants for the successful conduct of the meeting.
