Department of Chemistry Ghazi University successfully conducted a _One-Day seminar on In-silico Studies of Drug Design & Discovery_ today, April 29, 2026.

Students and faculty explored modern computational tools for molecular docking, drug-target interactions, and rational drug design. Hands-on sessions gave participants valuable exposure to bioinformatics software used in pharmaceutical research.

Today’s activity with BS Chemistry 4th Semester: *“The Historical Development of Aromatic Compounds”* 🧪📚

We stepped back in time to trace how the concept of aromaticity evolved — a journey of questions, failures, and breakthroughs that took scientists 20–25 years of intensive work.

This activity helped students think like real scientists: how curiosity turns into decades of research, and how that persistence gave us applications we see today in pharmaceuticals, dyes, polymers, and countless industries.

The 4-day HEC-NRPU funded workshop _“Promoting Youth-Led Entrepreneurship in Underserved Areas of Pakistan”_ has been successfully completed today at Ghazi University, D.G. Khan.

*Jointly Organized by:* Department of Business Administration & Department of Chemistry, Ghazi University, D.G. Khan

Under the leadership of *Dr. Mohammad Saleem*, Head of Department of Chemistry, the program was conducted successfully. Over the last four days, students from Chemistry, Economics, Business Administration, and Sociology actively participated in engaging sessions, interactive discussions, and practical learning activities focused on entrepreneurship, innovation, and business development.

On the concluding day, we were honored by the presence of our esteemed guests *Professor Dr. Saadullah Khan Leghari*, Dean Faculty of Sciences, *Professor Dr. Arshad Munir Lighari*, Dean Faculty of Arts, *Professor Dr. Sadiq Qasmani*, Former Head of Department of Chemistry, and *Dr. A.B. Gulshan*. Their valuable words and encouragement greatly inspired our young participants.

We also extend our gratitude to *Prof. Dr. Syed Zulfiqar Ali Shah*, Dean FMS, for his insightful session as distinguished guest speaker during the workshop.

All four days were filled with enthusiasm, learning, and collaboration. The event concluded successfully, and we sincerely thank all participants, faculty members, and organizers for their efforts.
