Independence Day Program at GDC VENAI Bar-Swat 14th August 2026
The Independence Day was celebrated with great zeal and patriotic fervor at GDC Venai Bar- Swat. The Honourable MPA PK-09 Swat, Mr. Sultan-E-Room Khan was the Chief Guest on this occasion. He was warmly welcomed by the principal, community elders, Children, Proctors, teaching staff, and students of the college upon his arrival. The program began with the hoisting of the National Flag by the Chief Guest along with the principal and community elders. The MPA also planted a sapling in the college lawn as part of the "Green Pakistan" campaign and visited different sections and labs of the college. Later, a grand ceremony was held in the college hall. The program started with recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by the National Anthem and Naat Sharif. In his welcome address, the Principal Amir Dost Khan welcomed all the Guests, highlighted the History and key academic achievements of the college. The principal informed the gathering about his vision and mission for the college. The principal also presented some demands on behalf of students and staff regarding infrastructure, staff and facilities. Addressing the gathering, MPA Sultan-E-Room Sb congratulated the students and staff on Independence Day. He assured the college administration that he will do his best to solve all the issues raised by the principal. He advised the students to study hard to serve the country in the future. The program concluded with a vote of thanks. Students presented tableaus and national songs to pay tribute to the heroes of Pakistan. In the end all the guests were served with tea.
