Tribute to Madam Curie- The Lady Physicist
Marie Curie was a famous scientist known for her work on radioactivity. She was born in 1867 in Warsaw, Poland. Along with her husband, she discovered the elements Polonium and Radium. She became the first woman to win a Nobel Prize and the first person to win two Nobel Prizes, one in Physics and the other in Chemistry. Her research greatly helped the development of X-ray technology used in medicine. She died in 1934 due to illness caused by long exposure to radiation.

Classical Physics:
studies large objects we see every day, like cars, planets, and forces, using laws like Newton’s. It assumes energy and matter are continuous.
Quantum Physics:
studies very small particles, like atoms and electrons, where energy comes in tiny packets. It includes ideas like uncertainty, wave-particle duality, and superposition.

The Nobel Prize is one of the most prestigious international awards, established by Alfred Nobel, a Swedish scientist and inventor of dynamite. It was created through his will in 1895, and the first prizes were awarded in 1901. The Nobel Prize is given every year to individuals or organizations that make outstanding contributions to humanity in six fields: Physics, Chemistry, Physiology or Medicine, Literature, Nobel Peace Prize, and Economics (added in 1969). Most Nobel Prizes are awarded in Sweden, while the Peace Prize is awarded in Norway. The awards are announced in October and presented annually on 10 December, the anniversary of Alfred Nobel’s death. The Nobel Prize has recognized many remarkable achievements, including those of Abdus Salam, who won the Physics Prize in 1979, and Malala Yousafzai, who received the Peace Prize in 2014. Its purpose is to honor people whose work brings the greatest benefit to mankind, inspiring generations to pursue knowledge, innovation, and peace.
