The Department of Management Sciences, University of Chitral, continued its strong research participation on the second day of the First International Conference of the University of Chitral, titled INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON BUILDING SUSTAINABLE AND RESILIENT COMMUNITIES. Two more MPhil Management Sciences scholars presented their research papers before the conference panel, representing the department's growing research culture and commitment to addressing contemporary management and sustainability challenges. Mr. Saleem Jafar, under the supervision of Dr. Rizwan Ullah, Head, Department of Management Sciences, presented his research paper titled "Beyond Capital: Pre-Seed Financing, Financial Literacy, and Entrepreneurial Mindset in Women’s Enterprise Performance and Empowerment in Remote Mountain Communities." The research highlights important dimensions of women’s entrepreneurship, including access to early-stage financing, financial literacy, entrepreneurial mindset, enterprise performance, and empowerment in remote mountain communities. Mr. Muhammad Nazar, under the supervision of Dr. Muhammad Irshad, Assistant Professor, Department of Management Sciences, presented his research paper titled "To Investigate the Relationship Between Green HRM and Green Advantage: The Role of Green Adaptive Ability in Pakistan." The study focuses on the emerging area of green human resource management and examines the role of green adaptive ability in developing green advantage within the Pakistani context. The conference panel appreciated the research work and presentations of both MPhil scholars and acknowledged their contribution to the academic discussion surrounding entrepreneurship, sustainability, human resource management, and resilient communities. The Department of Management Sciences congratulates Mr. Saleem Jafar and Mr. Muhammad Nazar on their successful research presentations and appreciates the valuable supervision and guidance provided by Dr. Rizwan Ullah and Dr. Muhammad Irshad.

The Department of Management Sciences, University of Chitral, is proud to share the active research participation of its MPhil Management Sciences scholars at the First International Conference of the University of Chitral, titled the International Conference on Building Sustainable and Resilient Communities. On the first day of the conference, two MPhil scholars, Mr. Javeed Hussain and Mr. Irshad Ali Yaftali, under the supervision of Dr. Rizwan Ullah, Head, Department of Management Sciences, presented their research papers before the conference panel. Mr. Javeed Hussain presented his research on "Impact of Sustainable Business Model Innovation on Firm Financial Performance," and Mr. Irshad Ali Yaftali presented his research on:
“Impact of Islamic Financing Practices on Green Sustainability: An Analysis of Dynamic Capability and Governance." Both presentations generated valuable academic discussion and reflected the growing research engagement of our MPhil scholars in contemporary issues of sustainable business, financial performance, Islamic finance, green sustainability, dynamic capabilities, and governance. The conference panel appreciated the research work and presentations of both scholars, recognizing their contribution to the ongoing academic dialogue on sustainability and resilient communities. The session concluded with a group photograph of the presenters, moderators, and panel members, marking a memorable moment of academic exchange and collaboration.

The Department of Management Sciences, University of Chitral, successfully conducted an insightful seminar titled “From Theory to Practice: The Role of Islamic Banking & Finance.” The seminar featured Mr. Zulqarnain Haider, Vice President, Meezan Bank, as the distinguished guest speaker. At the start of the session, Dr. Rizwan Ullah, Head of the Department of Management Sciences, warmly welcomed the guest speaker and thanked him for visiting the University of Chitral to share his professional experience and practical insights with students and faculty. During the interactive session, Mr. Zulqarnain Haider discussed banking in Islam and explained key concepts, including loans, Riba (interest), gambling, and the distinction between trade and Riba. He also highlighted the major differences between Islamic and conventional banking, particularly the relationship between the bank and its depositors, where Islamic banking emphasizes investment and partnership-based arrangements. The guest speaker also discussed the global growth and reach of Islamic banking and finance, highlighting its presence in numerous countries and its significant contribution to the international financial system. The seminar concluded with an engaging question & answer session, where students asked a range of questions related to Islamic banking and finance, and the guest speaker responded to their queries with practical examples and professional insights. At the conclusion, Dr. Rizwan Ullah, Head of the Department, expressed his sincere appreciation to Mr. Zulqarnain Haider for his valuable contribution and extended special thanks to the top management of Meezan Bank for their cooperation and for arranging this valuable learning opportunity for the students of the University of Chitral.
