The Langlands School and College, Chitral invites applications from qualified persons for the post of Transport Coordinator.
We are looking for someone who is energetic and has an appetite for hard work, sets high standards for himself, is scrupulously honest and able to work as part of a close-knit team. He should have a good eye for detail, be able to multitask, and want to be part of a close-knit team dedicated to facilitating the smooth running of the school, making life happier and easier for our pupils and their parents, and for the teachers and other staff. Courtesy, patience and a sense of humour are needed in this post.
He will assist on all aspects of the transportation system of the school reporting to the Bursar.
His main tasks, duties and responsibilities will be:
• To ensure smooth and efficient running of the school transportation management system
• To ensure that all school vehicles are road worthy at all times by making timely maintenance and repairs in a cost effective manner including maintaining a preventive maintenance schedule for routine tasks
• To maintain and monitor fuel management system of all school vehicles and generators
• To maintain physical custody of vehicle spare parts (new & used) store including updated stock register
• To supervise and monitor drivers to check their competence and ensuring that they are complying with all school regulations and their contracts, at all times
• To ensure timely collection and settlement of vendor invoices both locally and from down country. Keeping an updated running summary of all expenditures relating to repair & maintenance by vehicle

Applicants should preferably have a good degree in a relevant subject and substantial experience in a similar position, preferably in an institution comparable to The Langlands School and College, Chitral.
They should be proficient in Microsoft Office especially Excel and Word, and should be competent drivers, in possession of a valid LTV driving licence.
Excellent spoken and written English is necessary for this post.
