A Houthi drone was intercepted south of Makkah. 🇸🇦

Saudi Arabia says its air defenses destroyed a Houthi drone on September 15 before it entered the restricted airspace over Makkah. Riyadh described the incident as the second alleged Houthi attempt to target the holy city, following the 2017 ballistic-missile incident.

The Houthis, however, deny targeting Makkah or any holy site, calling the Saudi allegation false. Meanwhile, Houthi attacks on Saudi territory have intensified amid renewed fighting in Yemen.
