National Commission for Human Development (NCHD) with collaboration of Department of Education, University of Sufism and Modern Sciences, Bhitshah has organized one day orientation presenetation about "Each One Teach One" (EOTO) on dated 18th November 2025 at Department of Education under the kind guidance and leadership of worthy Vice Chancellor Engr. Prof. Dr. Arabella Bhutto.
The EOTO initiative is a key component of Pakistan's Roshan Pakistan National Literacy Drive, launched under the country's National Education Emergency.
The orientation was first step to launch the EOTO program at the grassroots level in the Bhitshah region, leveraging the students of USMS and the local education network.
The primary goal of the presentation, led by NCHD officials, was to familiarize student volunteers with the program's objectives, framework, implementation strategy, and their specific roles in achieving its mission.
The EOTO program is a nationwide, student-driven literacy campaign aimed at rapidly increasing the national literacy rate.
Key Features of the Initiative:
Goal: For every literate student to impart basic literacy and numeracy skills to at least one illiterate individual in their community.
Target Population: Illiterate individuals, preferably in the age cohort of 15 to 45 years.
Student Engagement: Students from Grade 9 to Ph.D. level in both public and private educational institutions are designated as Literacy Teachers. In the initial phase, the focus is generally on " Each One Teach One."
Curriculum: The initiative follows a prescribed literacy syllabus approved by the Ministry of Education, which typically includes Urdu and Math books, along with a Teachers' Guide.
Duration: The literacy course is structured for approximately 12 weeks (three months) with daily teaching and learning sessions of 60-90 minutes.
